Those two were great no doubt.......Miller's sarcasm and Nealon's timing were top notch. Colin Quinn is an acquired taste that kind of grows on you unlike the other 2, you get them immediately. My favorite though was probably Norm and his constant crapping on OJ. Hilarious.
Yeah. I liked Norm too. Haven’t watched SNL in forever. They destroyed a historical comedy program.

It is an archaic term that dates back to when the US was predominantly inhabited east of the Mississippi River. So if you think of the Mississippi River as being the western border, then Illinois was as far west as it gets.

I agree that the term makes little sense, now, but at the time it was coined, it had merit. Right or wrong, the use of it has just never died off all these years later.

What's the story behind the nickname Pussum?

On VolNation, the story behind the nickname "Pussum" for the user TN-POSSUM appears to be less about a deep, personal anecdote and more about a combination of the user's chosen handle and a playful, phonetic simplification by other forum members
.
The user's chosen handle is "TN-POSSUM", referencing the North American opossum. Forum users then often abbreviate or phonetically simplify it in their posts, sometimes calling them "Pussum", or similar variations.
One forum user mentioned a story of a cashier calling someone "pussum" after seeing them doing something every Sunday morning, implying a humorous or perhaps slightly teasing context for the term. However, it's not explicitly tied to TN-POSSUM's online handle. from AI @Tin Man

What does @Orangeredblooded have to do with rabies?
I don’t remember rabies can be transmitted through a football fan board. Maybe you need to get vaccinated or Frank needs to ban you to a super secret room before you infect us all. A couple of months, years should do it. See you in a few years, infected monster.
