Clarksville is Middle Tennessee. There’s nothing to “consider.” It’s in Middle Tennessee. Because maps of the 3 Grand Divisions exist.Yes they too,
Jesse Perry looks very promising.
Tiny Richardson.
James Stone.
But Clarksville I still consider West Tennessee barely, but you could say it was North Middle Tennessee too for sure
I’ve always viewed it like the United States.Clarksville is Middle Tennessee. There’s nothing to “consider.” It’s in Middle Tennessee. Because maps of the 3 Grand Divisions exist.![]()
East Tennessee is any area east of Kingston, where hollers are hollers, y'alls are y'alls n' yuns. Letters get elongated, and one sylaballized words 'is' double.I’ve always viewed it like the United States.
Midwest is still “west”. Clarksville is west of Nashville.
I mean I guess it would help if there was a West Tennessee State to go along with MTSU and ETSU.
I guess nobody agrees with me but there is nothing west about the state of Illinois. I hate the term midwest. Midwest would be like Utah or Wyoming.I’ve always viewed it like the United States.

It is an archaic term that dates back to when the US was predominantly inhabited east of the Mississippi River. So if you think of the Mississippi River as being the western border, then Illinois was as far west as it gets.I guess nobody agrees with me but there is nothing west about the state of Illinois. I hate the term midwest. Midwest would be like Utah or Wyoming.
That’s not how the 3 grand divisions work. I gave you a map, man. It doesn’t matter how you “think of it.” There are delineated lines. I could “think of” Chattanooga as Middle Tennessee, but I’d be wrong.I’ve always viewed it like the United States.

Agree. It made perfect sense at the timeIt is an archaic term that dates back to when the US was predominantly inhabited east of the Mississippi River. So if you think of the Mississippi River as being the western border, then Illinois was as far west as it gets.
I agree that the term makes little sense, now, but at the time it was coined, it had merit. Right or wrong, the use of it has just never died off all these years later.
So, some map guy appointed himself the final arbiter? That’s not how the 3 grand divisions work. I gave you a map, man. It doesn’t matter how you “think of it.” There are delineated lines. I could “think of” Chattanooga as Middle Tennessee, but I’d be wrong.
Clarksville is more north of Nashville than west. And there is plenty of Middle Tennessee west of Nashville.
You are correct, I live in Montgomery County. Everything east of LBL is middle Tennessee. Clarksville is nw middle Tennessee. Once you cross Paris landing bridge and enter into Henry County you are considered to be in west Tennessee. GBOClarksville is Middle Tennessee. There’s nothing to “consider.” It’s in Middle Tennessee. Because maps of the 3 Grand Divisions exist.![]()
Those two were great no doubt.......Miller's sarcasm and Nealon's timing were top notch. Colin Quinn is an acquired taste that kind of grows on you unlike the other 2, you get them immediately. My favorite though was probably Norm and his constant crapping on OJ. Hilarious. He was okay, but he was no Dennis Miller or Kevin Nealon.
Oh yeah….That’s not how the 3 grand divisions work. I gave you a map, man. It doesn’t matter how you “think of it.” There are delineated lines. I could “think of” Chattanooga as Middle Tennessee, but I’d be wrong.

Okay?Oh yeah….
How about this map!!?
There’s an East Knoxville (everything east of Summit Hill Rd)
West Knoxville (West of West Town Mall)
South Knoxville (South of the Tennessee River and where everyone goes to BOOMSDAY)
North Knoxville (North of I-40 and Broadway exit)
I’ve never in my whole life heard of Middle Knoxville.
Miller was not funny. Nealon's Mr Submiminal was legendaryThose two were great no doubt.......Miller's sarcasm and Nealon's timing were top notch.
