What the ? We got moved?

Anyway, I don't have any issue with you, or any posters in here (that aren't on ignore). I will add there is a certain segment that feel they are football coaches, and some who think their opinion resolute. Some want to escape and have fun.

I fancy we're all adults in here and will choose to do what's best for ourselves.

I just think you're taking an isolated incident that had much larger implications and some dark underlying elements (Penn State issues) and trying to draw a conclusion that it is the same thing as a kid making a decision about where to attend school while factoring in the opinions of a small vocal minority. That just doesn't resonate.
I really hate to participate in these debates. I find them a waste of time.

I don't agree that it's a small, vocal minority. It seems to be split pretty even on this site. I don't think it's a stretch to say the fanbase is pretty much split on WM the same.

Now what if they all took to social and voiced all the negative comments we see on here? I'd be willing to bet it wouldn't t take long before rumors started circulating about WM's future. And it would definitely affect recruiting. Even if the rumor wasn't true.

My original point was that social media or forums certainly affect recruiting. Even if it influences 1 recruit negatively, that's too many.

Anyway. That was my original point.

Nothing like a bunch of adolescents running your program. Would make me wonder why a coach would want to be here?
I can agree with that. The administration at that time was horrible. I honestly think I could have done as good of a job as Hamilton.

I suppose a player could read one of my comments and get pissed off. So what? That's life. I shouldn't post something because it might make someone mad? You are going to read things that piss you off or that you disagree with. You just move on.

Depends, in todays free transfer world, your and potentially some backslapping like minded folks could be the straws that breaks the camels back and him hit the door. Maybe an ALL SEC type. Could cost us the game that would have put us in the playoffs. But heck, all hail free speech. Besides, free read should be outlawed right!

It is all relative and no absolutes. Risk/reward is always in play. Always.

I don’t think that’s true. Once again, I think you are taking things way too seriously. Even if it were there are other players out there. You can’t just shut off all negativity out there. If it wasn’t me it would be someone else.

We disagree and that’s alright. There isn’t much else to discuss further because it’s clear we will never agree on it.

Hammy was a political figure. He was a MBA, handshaker. Was really really well like, and frankly one of the best human beings (on outside) that has come through here. He knew my Sis and Bro in Law. Very well liked.

Didnt make him a good AD, at all:
