Why compromise when he's right?

Every member of congress has an enormous ego, and if you can't work around that and find compromise, you aren't going to get anything done. You lose when you don't compromise in government. Every time Boehner made a (bad?) deal with Democrats, its because the far right of his own party refused to come to the table.

About Cruz, Do you really think this: https://www.tedcruz.org/tax_plan/ isn't political propaganda? There's no way in hell that works. The guy can score easy points by making fun of the terrible moderators at tonight's debate, but I don't know how he is going to make out when someone actually challenges him.

Yeah, I don't like Hillary, I don't know think anyone does really. She reminds me of Nixon a little bit, just in terms of how little integrity she seems to have. Still, when push comes to shove, I would rather have a creature of politics than let anyone on that stage tonight pick Supreme Court justices or be in control of our military.

Well, there are some things i'd like to disagree with you on and continue this discussion with you about. But There's really very little if any use in arguing politics in a forum like this. It's doubtful anyone will change their mind based off something they read on here.

But I will say two things: 1) that is one difference between you and me. This year i refuse to vote for someone just because of the letter next to their name or just because they're better than the other guy/girl. If the candidate doesn't share the main core values of mine, then as I said earlier I'm likely going 3rd party/write in.

And 2) you'd rather Clinton be in charge of the military? After Benghazi??? May God provide even more protection for our service men and women if she does get in.

Anyways , God bless you, sir. And God bless the good ol' USA.

Man I'm sorry to hear that. My mother was diagnosed a couple of years ago. My mom seems to slip a little each day now. We are trying to get her into a trial at Vandy for a new promising drug. Have you heard of it?

There are several new drugs. There is actually a trial for intranasal insulin that has reversed the effects in mice.

Dad was in Vietnam and was sprayed with Agent Orange.

Terrible disease that has touch so many of us.

Praying for you guys mentioned here and the folks at Vandy working hard for a cure.

Thanks Bruin. It truly is a sad, debilitating disease that effects the family more so than with most diseases. My mother is just slowly slipping away each and everyday and you feel so helpless to do anything about it.

Volssam or anyone...is there a video of last nights GOP debate that has been uploaded online? I wanna watch it. I saw Cruz go off on the moderators and thought that was just pure awesome.

Someone's kid is getting the start tonight...

Wearing 43 for a reason. PunterU

Yeah my dad has Alzheimers but people making money picking Todd Gurley as their Flex is a huge issue.

Guys - you and your families are added to my prayer list. I understand all to well.

My mother-in-law had dementia for over 10 years prior to passing a few years ago. She was a wonderful wife, mother to her children and all their spouses, and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She was a great friend and helped others all of her life. For her to have to go through it was absolutely brutal. Between my wife and I, the ALC, and a wonderful primary care physician we tried to smooth out the journey as much as we could. I feel for both of you so deeply.

To experience her leaving us one day at a time was heartbreaking. The last days her mind had forgotten how to have her body breathe, swallow, talk, walk, etc. - yet her heart was strong until the end. I hate Alzheimer's. Hate it. I thought my mother being severely bipolar was bad. Alzheimer's is worse. Just praying for a cure.
