It's not for everyone, but the first couple of episodes of the Walking Dead was mind-blowing. Not the best series, but awesome first episode.

Walking Dead is trying too hard. I still watch it and enjoy it okay, but it's not what it was. It's like the writers watched Game of Thrones and decided, "Oh, what makes a good show is for beloved characters to die and awful things to happen." But that misses the point. Just killing characters for the sake of shocking the audience does not a good show make. It has to make sense as part of a story. There has to be a reason for it. With Walking Dead it feels like, "Hey, let's kill this character because why not?"

It's lazy storytelling and it's so formulaic. They start following a character more, have that character express some hope that maybe things will be alright after all, and then they kill them. Rinse and repeat.

There was one episode some seasons ago where a character died and one of the other characters, who I don't recall ever saying a word to the recently deceased, was all torn up because they "were so close." It felt forced and hollow.

I'll say my favorite comedies are a tie between It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia and The Office

I loved parts of The Office. It was great early, and I loved the last season. Some of the later seasons leading up to the end just lost me though.

It's Always Sunny is amazing. Another one I've gotten into recently is Workaholics. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it's hilarious.

There are too many good TV shows on now. Everyone I talk to has a different show that they love. And now Netflix is churning out shows like crazy as well. Just impossible to keep up with more than a couple at a time.

Agreed. There's a lot of good TV right now. Even USA is putting out solid stuff. I love Mr. Robot.

Personally I think it's great people are cutting the cord. Netflix and Internet is the way to go

I watched Breaking Bad. Wasn't my cup of tea

My favorites are Lost, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and Supernatural.

There was a miniseries (only like 6 episodes) called the Lost Room. It is very good. Randomly found it one day at BlockBuster, then bought it on EBay.

How I felt when Lost ended.

As far as movies go.....the Netflix streaming service has a horrendous selection of movies...I'm bout to cut the cord with them.

Their selection is much, much better than it was 4-5 years ago. It's still not great, but it used to be 99% bargain bin crappy sequels.
