I've got wisdom teeth surgery coming up here in a few days. Any advice or horror stories y'all can share? TIA.

Watch out for dry sockets. My wife had one and she said it was worse than the procedure itself.

Otherwise, enjoy your favorite ice cream and milkshakes over the weekend!

Doc said to start to eat right away as you normally would.

Only problem is then having to dig/wash out the bits of what you ate out of the crater, talk about exciting stuff......got nothing other than that as that seems to be the worst of what I remember.

Hope all goes well for you in your procedure and recovery.

Load up on your favorite soft foods and like Catbone said you will say some crazy stuff. You should get it on video cuz my dad said it was the funniest thing he had ever heard. Other than that just take the meds like they tell you and rinse your mouth after eating and you should be good. Good luck hope it goes well

i filled up a whole 44 oz cup from sonic with blood when i had mine pulled, just dripping out of my mouth like a damn water drain. i was getting a little worried

Terrible for me, swelled up down to my chest and looked like Quagmire. Had numbness in my chin for 4 months.

Doc said my teeth were as impacted as he had ever seen and he feared me having permanent nerve damage. Luckily I don't have to do that again.

Oh, and take all your drugs, they're ur friend!!

Hey, guys

My fraternity brother's family is going through a rough time. Four of his brothers were involved in a near fatal car accident. Three of the brothers have a few broken bones, but the littlest one will be paralyzed from the waste down. Obviously, they're going to deal with a lot of medical expenses, so a gofundme was set up for them.

If you can donate, great. If not, please just share the link on Facebook to get this more exposure.

We've raised a lot so far, but they're going to need a lot more.

Thanks

I didn't have any problems with my wisdom teeth. Bleeding stopped almost immediately, and I only took my pain meds for like 2 days then I just took some Advil before I ate.

Think I could play in a softball game about 30 hours post surgery?

TCV, I had 2 at a time done about 1 month apart, but mine had come in fully and were never a bother to me. I only did it at the age of 33, because my dentist kept telling me to get them out, because my teeth were so crowded. I only took a little Valium to calm beforehand, and was only on some Advil afterwards. The nice thing was that I was able to eat on the other side of my mouth while the areas healed. I had no problems with mine. Took them out late in the afternoon and was back to work the next morning.

I had torn some ligaments in my ankle a couple days before my surgery, so I hopped in there with one shoe on while the hurt one had just a sock. I thought for sure they would be smart and put me in a wheelchair like they're supposed to. Well they didn't, so I walked down the hall on my hurt foot high on the good stuff and went to my mom's car. She didn't even video me coming home! I was kinda upset about that

Depends on how much they have to dig or cut to get them out. One of mine was apparently in there really good and it looked like I was hiding baseballs in my cheeks for 3-4 days after

Can some one fill me in on Lamont Turner. Said on FB he is cleared by the University and waiting on the NCAA?

VQ said he's enrolled at UT and is practicing with the team, I believe. They said if UT feels comfortable enough to have him that far, then positive news should follow from the NCAA.
