Guys, I'm certainly not opposed to Kate Upton , but we do have guidelines in place so that people can comfortably view the site from work or in front of a spouse or kids. I know not everyone agrees with that stance and it's a gray area sometimes, but it is our guideline based on some reasons people have touched on in this thread along with other issues that we've run into with our server host and our advertisers. Maybe we will come up with a better solution at some point in the future.

Give the Mods the ability to rate posts like movies and give posters to ability to block post ratings they don't want to see. Then if Kate is rated "R" and a poster has chosen to ignore "R" posts they are not subjected to that post. Kind of lock ignoring particular posters. Don't know if it is possible but that should do the trick. :)

Works in theory I suppose, but we would need about 100 more mods to have every post rated.

A mod didn't see the Kate post until it was reported. It was up for several hours. For the rating system to serve its purpose, posts would need to be rated as soon as they're made. :hi:

The problem lies in differences in what some find offensive. Some posters would find any skin below the neck and above the ankles offensive. I personally don't believe what you can see at any public beach or pool is offensive.

My personal opinion is it was hardly anything to be upset about, there has been a lot worse (posted by me for sure). I hate it when there are pictures of muscle bound dudes without shirts on posted since it would probably make me look homosexual if someone at work saw it on my computer. Maybe I should report that as offensive.

Kind of a slippery slope discussion here. If it is legal outside in the public how can it be offensive on a message board, realizing good taste and legal interpretations vary by location? My two cents.

Well the difference is this isn't really a public forum and we aren't guaranteed the same free speech rights we would be outside our house. Freak can set any rules for the site he sees fit, regarding speech.

Legally, I agree with you. While I am one of the protagonists of this bewb movement, there is also a whole section of this forum designated to be a home for more adult type pictures. I, too, look at VN almost constantly at work and don't want my boss to see that as I'm scrolling through. My boss was off today, making me the boss, so I didn't care. I think I'm going to keep it very PG in the recruit threads from now on....I'll try at least :good!:

There is a DFW (TX) Curling club...for fun we went to their fundraiser and got to learn the basics...it was actually a lot of fun. It takes more balance than you would think. You can work up a sweat brushing the ice in front of the stone. :)
