I got some Basil Hayden's for a similalry hipster leaning relative because it has a fancy bottle. Reviews were not as strong but a good straight bourbon.

Noah's mill, Willet, Rowan's creek, michter, EH Taylor. All really good, affordable, and off the beaten path. I can name a few good online retailers if you'd like

4 Roses is pretty good. It has a hint of spiceyness in it similar to a spiced rum, but bourbon flavored. I like it.
Another is Knob Creek maple honey. **** is literally like drinking pancakes, so good!!
