The girls were getting there picture taken with Pluto yesterday and the cameraman saw my UT shirt and hat and said, "Wow! You came all the way from Texas!" My trial for assault is scheduled for later this year.

On a side note, The Magic Kingdom is an incredible place filled with wondrous things. However, it is also filled with a lot of extremely rude foul mannered people that should not be allowed to experience that wonder with normal considerate folks.

Now. I've got to mentally prepare myself for breakfast of Mickey. (Not a typo. I am trying to convince my girls that we aren't having breakfast "with" Mickey but we are having Mickey "for" breakfast. I love being a dad.)

I had a better experience at Universal Studios...Captain America called out Go Big Orange as we were walking by. When I turned and yelled Go Vols, he motioned us over. He asked if he could have his picture made with such a great American...there were gator fans in line to get their picture with him :)
As we were getting our picture taken, he whispered that he was from Johnson City :salute:

I had a sh1t-eatin grin on my face the rest of the day...always knew Captain America had to be a Volunteer! :)

This is off topic forum. All kinds of things talked about in here that are wrong. Nothing "self-righteous" about being against murdering the most helpless and innocent. Just my opinion.

You are entitled to your opinion. If I wanted to talk about abortion, I would go to the appropriate forum or take your pick of many other avenues on the interwebs to do so. I'm not arguing for or against anything. I just don't see how that is appropriate here. We differ in opinion and that's fine, keep on keeping on brother.

I always wonder why people get angry and testy that are pro-choice when somebody disagrees. They are getting their way. It should be something they celebrate since it is their "right" to exercise this form of birth control, do a little dance, have a party, etc. They are free from responsibility, clear consciences, no strings attached. Happy times.

Blue Font.

Omg of all the thing to start talking about.

This. I'm not even sharing my beliefs on this subject. I just don't come here to read about it. And for the record, all opinions and especially ones concerning morality/religion are the very definition of self-righteous. It means you think you are right and everyone else's opinion is wrong.

If you don't like it, skip past it or put me and whoever on ignore. You whine anytime someone posts something that makes you uncomfortable.

Definitely on the list of things that are completely pointless to argue about online. Nobody is changing anybody's mind one way or the other.

Like many people from the east Tennessee - western North Carolina area I have Cherokee in my heritage. I will however not condemn the decision that Jackson made to remove the Cherokee people from this area. If AJ had done nothing, most of the Cherokees would have been wiped out as the settlers continued to move westward. Even though the forced march to Oklahoma caused the death of huge numbers of the Cherokee people it likely kept many more alive than if the move hadn't occurred.
History is written as historians want it to be believed by their readers. Most of the American Indians that died in the early years of this nation (up until the early 1900's) died because of the many types of disease that the settlers brought into this country. That was the real genocide.
Andrew Jackson should be left on the $20.00 bill.

Plus, he was the last president to have ZERO federal debt. That, and giving the British their most lopsided loss ever are reason enough for me to keep him on my 20's. He destroyed the battle-tested British, who had just defeated Napoleon, at a time when they were burning the White House.

Disney is done. :) We had a great time. If we come back we will be much more savy next time. We jammed a lot into four days but we could've been more efficient. Thanks for some great memories Disney.

Now I can focus my full attentions on Spring Practice!

Not wanting a man on currency who, at the time, helped concoct and push the single largest genocide in human history isn't "wussification," or even "a war act" by any means. He is America's Leopold in many ways, the difference being we kept winning wars and could write the history books however we wanted.

It's a bit of a shock he's stayed so long considering the amount of talk things as small as sports teams are getting, and its somewhat terrifying how America just seems to gloss over that part of our history, both in educating our youth and as adults trying to justify it.

History is filled with winners and losers. I am part Cherokee and Creek, and proud of it, but the world is full of conflict and will be till the end. Most tribes hated and feared their neighbors. They committed atrocities and also acts of great honor. Just like every other civilization that has ever existed. To the people of the time these men were heroes. Like it or not, our forefathers were great men who forged a great nation. I am proud to be an American, with Scotch-Irish, English, French, German and yes..Native American blood flowing in my veins. If you are not proud of this country...then get out. Have a nice day.

Well said. Similar bloodlines as well except Cherokee only. Life and history are messy at times.

Yes it is. When I look back at my family history, especially at the Indian removal, I see my bloodlines on both sides. I had Cherokee family but also I discovered some men on my European side actually took part in the removal. It's messy and it hurts, but look what we got out of dirty situations like that. A great nation. And as crazy as it sounds, Jackson actually thought he was doing the best thing for the Indians at the time. It's easy to look back with 20/20 vision and see the major mistakes people made, but at that time there was a whole different perspective

I have a feeling we're about to get a flurry of commitments. No inside info. Just a hunch.
