Why in the heck would you pay to tweet this? BWAHAHAHAHAHA nice one Wisconsin!

Really pissed they put all their eggs in Cueto's basket. Ironically Cueto is as fragile as an egg.

Bud - this bunch is clueless about selling when the perceived value is still high. Cueto should have already been moved and he would have brought plenty.

IMO, the #1 factor for the team declining, besides Votto's injury issues, is the schedule. When the Astros moved to the AL and the Cubs got serious about getting better they went downhill. They beat up on those two clubs so much they could go .500 with the rest and make it in. Not now.

Volatil, putting two racks of St Louis cut ribs and a whole chicken on the smoker tomorrow. Trying a rub I put together myself.

OK - if we are going to talk smoked ribs. 12 years living in the delta with Memphis style.

Rub for 4 lbs:
1 Tspn each: Salt, fresh ground pepper, paprika
1/2 Tspn each: onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, cayenne or chili powder
Sometimes I mustard the meat first, other times honey. If you need it sweetened add some dark brown sugar. Rub it on 12-24 hours before smoking. I do mine at 235-245 degrees in a Masterbuilt.

I do not do rubs on chicken. I use Wicker's marinade sauce from Hornersville, Mo. Sometimes found in Kroger's. Can order direct from the company as well. Most everybody around Memphis knows about Wicker's. Vinegar based with a lot of the rub ingredients. You marinade it overnight preferably and use a reserve to baste with. Below is a site with cloned recipes. There are others that guess at it on google. Enjoy.

Wicker's Marinade/Mop/Sauce Clone

EDIT: My favorite store bought barbecue sauce is from The Shed down in Ocean Springs, MS - Spicy Sweet. I also stick with hickory smoking.

Thank you. I'm a newbie at this. I've got friends that do this and they've helped me out. I've got the Masterbuilt electric. I do like a little sweetness. I've already rubbed the ribs down with a rub I've put together from about 5 or 6 recipes that I've seen on the web. I've got the chicken in a sugar/salt brine solution.

I'm going to use apple for my smoke. I'll post some pics tomorrow. Any advice is welcome.

I'm sorry, but true fans don't "stop paying attention." I'm a Lakers and Vols fan, the last five years I have been one sad sob but I still follow my teams as if they are contending. Thats what makes it special to us true fans who have weathered the storm that now get to enjoy the rise to prominence.

You have to endure the bad with the good to be a true fan IMO. If you found better things to do while we were losing I deem thee a fair weather fan. Sorry, but it is what it is and I'm not really sorry 💯👌⚪️🍊⚪️🍊👍🙌.

Don't take yourself so seriously...nobody else does.

Fair weather - "I'll watch my team and represent them while they are winning, but if they are losing I am nowhere to be found."

regardless of how much of a smart a$$ u wanna be, the above statement is true.

It's a game played by 18-21 year olds. You're still trying to hard. Not everybody has to treat it like it's the most important thing in their life.

This.

I'll cheer alongside anyone who wears orange and yells with me on Saturdays. I have respect for those who stuck it out through the hardest years, but some of the 'better fan' arguments on here are just ridiculous.

There is quite a big gap between not paying attention to your team and treating them as the most important thing in your life.

Lol this. I didn't know following them through tough times meant they were the most important thing in your life. I love my school and my team even when they're not winning. Those kids need support from fans when times are tough too. Maybe then more than ever.

Exactly. When did I say it was the most important thing near and dear to my heart?

If you can't understand what it means to stick with your team through thick and thin then you're not a true fan in the first place. It's as simple as that. True fan doesn't mean that I dedicate every waking moment of my life to them but it does mean that I stand by and watch them lose just like a standby and watch them win. They have my unwavering support whether they are winning or losing and people who decide not to pay attention when they are losing are not supporting them.

Fairweather fan does not equal bandwagon fan though. Some people like sports and enjoy following a team as long as they are at least decent. Others, like most on this forum are truly fanatics. It causes us great pain to see our teams down. Doesn't make them less of a fan though. Just different.

I love the Titans. However, over the last several years my level of attention toward them has drastically decreased. I still follow them but I have cut the time I dedicate to them to the bare minimum. Doesn't mean I'm not a real fan.
