What is this LV game you speak of?

Do we still play BB at UT? I haven't watched one game. Maybe I'll feel differently after football but feels eerily similar to the pre Pearl years.

We owed it to Pat to let her pick her successor...we need to give her more room to see if it works also...if it doesn't, this a top 3 job and they can pick someone transcendent.

I think Holly will be fine. Their recruiting had fallen off the past few years, most likely because other coaches were using Pat's illness and the change to Holly against Tennessee in recruiting. I'm also sure that UConn, Baylor and a few others are still using the "character smear" tactics against Holly like they have for a few years. Holly has been getting some better players to commit last year and so far this year that have more quickness, speed, jumping ability and shooting ability and they will help with the type of schemes they want to run. JMO

No. All the years that she was Pat's assistant, yet no one hired her as a head coach. Why? Other schools must have seen something. Maybe she was promised the HC position when Pat stepped down...I don't know. However, I thought there were way too many options with HC experience to hire an assistant with none. I thought we should have gone after Mitchell at UK. I love the style of play of his team. He could kill it at UT with more talent. JMO.

I agree, Mitchell would kill it here. But, Pat made that decision long ago. I like Holly but I don't have confidence she's going to get it done.

You have to give Holly 4 years regardless of how you feel about the situation, IMO. I liken it to Guthridge or Doherty at UNC when they took over after Dean Smith. If they have not made the Final Four with potentially better on the horizon by you have then you have to move on to keep the program relevant in the NC discussion IMO. I can't help but believe there are better like Mitchell in Pat's tree somewhere that could get it done. But I am talking about it as it currently sits. I didn't want her to start with - Mitchell or Caldwell were the two on my short list.

Yeah, it does seem like we think alike on a lot of things. I did not watch the men's game yet, but I did DVR it. Went to a good friend's house to eat lunch and couldn't watch it live. Heading home now and hoping to watch it, so don't tell me the outcome.

Just finished watching the bball game. I do like Tyndall's style of play. I love the defensive pressure. I've always been a fan of full court pressure after made shots. Pressure leads to turnovers, which leads to easy baskets. Looks like we may struggle scoring on offense consistently.

I agree. This team will win with D, not O until maybe later in the season. He's still developing and building chemistry. Gotta say I like Woodson. Think he's going to be a strong inside force for them next season and beyond. McGhee is a baller. Love that guy. All four of the holdovers are finding their roles with Josh and Armani really shining. Punter reminds me so much of Bobby Maze without the handle at this point.

Armani has really improved his offensive game. We really need a presence on the perimeter. Need Hubbs and Punter to knock down some 3 balls. Love how hard McGhee goes to the boards.

If you think the BBB petition was ugly, just imagine what could erupt in 4 years if Holly is still struggling and Tyler Summitt is doing work down at LA Tech.

Pat's hand-picked successor vs. Pat's own flesh and blood. What a hot mess that would be.

Hey guys. I just wanted to share with y'all that we found out yesterday we will be having child #2. We are doing our part to add to the Vol family! He/She will be due sometime in early August.

Congrats! You gotta start the process when they are young by putting Rocky Top on a loop in their room instead of stupid lullabies. :good!:
