Ok maybe I want to give another shot at being a GM for a fantasy football league. Is this the right thread to talk about it or should we create a new one somewhere else?

It's off topic, should be fine. We just need to decide league basics. Like ppr vs standard and snake draft vs mock, etc.

Am I the only one how didn't know that SC RB Mike Davis was the younger brother of former Clemson RB James Davis? Sports South had a feature about them I saw today. Seems crazy brothers going to instate rivals.

Hmmm have any of you ever watched our brothers to the north play football? There is a Canadian football game on now on ESPN 2 and this is quit different than the football I'm use to watching

I never have figured out how their rules ended up so different.

I'm not sure. It was the first time I've ever seen a CFL game. The motion thing threw me off and the QB play was kind of atrocious on both sides. And one was basically the "Peyton Manning" of up there. They said he was a lock to make the HOF. This cat looked like worley on his worst day and he is a professional haha

Watching a new series on WGN called Manhatthan, about the building of the A-bomb. They are giving no love to East Tennessee and instead are basing it somewhere in the southwest. Burns me up when they twist history. WGN hates us.

End rant.

I know there's several Braves fans that lurk on here, just wanted to say something about my favorite pitcher, former Brave Greg Maddux. Maddux became a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame today. The younger fans may not have seen Maddux pitch for the Braves but he was unlike anyone else that I have seen on the mound in about 50 years of baseball watching. He threw to a spot around the plate and seemed to know exactly where to put the ball to get the batter out. He won 3 Cy Young awards with the Braves and it was mentioned today that his 355 wins put him 8th all-time in wins among all pitchers. For those Braves fans that got to see Maddux pitch you were truly blessed and for those that didn't see him you missed a real superstar.

Well said! And very true. He was a beast on the mound. I remember when he pitched for the Cubs before Atlanta got him.

Los Alamos did plenty...but as someone who dresses out and gets Oak Ridge's "history" all over them every day, it's a crock if K25/X10/Y12 are left out. The things they accomplished out there in months with 1940s tech still blows my mind.

Actually, they might not be to that point of the story yet...

I hope they haven't. I love that history. My great grandfather delivered most of the houses to the secret city and my grandfather has worked at ORNL for over 40 years.

I'll go ahead and toss out a vote for an auction draft. My league has done one the past couple years, and it's pretty awesome.
