Recruiting Forum Off-Topic Thread II

So I'm not allowed to chime in and give my opinion with how the candidates stack up according to my beliefs? Last I checked, this was the Off-Topic Thread, not the "How do Trump and Clinton Stack Up From a Purely Christian Perspective No Other Faiths Allowed" thread.

Holy books come in many shapes and sizes. I'm not attacking anyone else for pulling stuff out of the books they like. It'd be nice if the favor was returned.

If there was even a glimmer of a chance that Cthulu was your real faith, then that would be different. I agree with the other posters that you are mocking them, and it really is not a good look for you. You are obviously allowed to post whatever opinion you want, and, normally, you seem to be respectful of the opinions of others with whom you are debating, but, in this case, I think you're trying too hard to be funny.

He derails the convo from Christianity because deep down something really bothers him about it and is telling him it could be the truth. It is a guilty conscience that is still saying to him.......what if? The soul has a longing for its Creator.

BTW, if you're a Christian you must vote to be obedient to God. Allow him to lead & guide you who to vote for. I'm voting for Hillary because God told me through prayer that Trump would destroy this country. He might be the anti-Christ instead.

Sometimes, he sure acts like it anyhow & he's not even stepped foot in office yet. I was voting for him months ago but after spending time with God he changed my mind to voting for Hillary. That's all I'm talking about religion & God. Maybe in the proper thread but not here anymore.

That was Satan pretending to be God.

Ugh...Cthulhu is not a faith anymore than angels are a "faith."

Cthulhu is an aberration who was most likely the inspiration for most, if not all, ancient Mediterranean/Near Eastern deities if the depths and/or nightmares. The necronomicon, from which HP Lovecraft gained inspiration for his fictional works on Cthulhu, can be traced back ancient Sumerian authors from around the time of or before the epic of Gilgamesh was written.

Cthulhu is to be feared and respected (but mostly feared), not worshipped. If he were to wake from his slumber, it would most likely signal the end of times for all things living upon the earth.

So, yeah. Choosing a candidate who won't interfere with the institutions that allow for the rituals that help ensure Cthulhu's slumber is kind of an important issue to me.

Yes, the prospect of a transmundane horror being awakened from the murky depths, shattering our sanities and ending all that I know and love is a thought that deeply bothers me.

It's an election, dude. It's not gonna be the end of the world or America. You're acting like casting a vote for trump is some glorious act of valor and sacrifice. It's not. It's a matter of walking into a booth (or sending in an absentee ballot).

Also, you do realize Supreme Court rulings can be overruled or changed peacefully, right? If that wasn't the case, then Plessy vs Ferguson would still be the rule of the land lol

Well I take it seriously and don't care what you think about anything, so... And the Supreme Court would have to rule against itself to overturn a ruling which would take decades at best and is highly improbable. Lifetime appointments. I'm not comfortable with that, Mr. popularity.

And I'm not comfortable with people talking Civil War if a candidate they don't like wins an election.

It seems just a wee bit over dramatic, at best.

Deal with it. I don't care about your comfort. I also didnt advocate a civil war. I made a factual statement that war will be one of the only three avenues of altering the damage a Hillary Rotten Clinton SCOTUS will inflict on this nation. It will not be a matter of simply winning the next election. Hence the dramatic urgency.

Well it is. Amendment process, self overturn in future case, or revolt. That's it. Congress can't be involved unless it's an issue with a Congress created law. People need to realize that some of these things cannot be changed back easily. If you don't think it's a big deal that's wonderful for you. Got it. Understood and fully comprehended. No further mocking necessary.

There will be an uprising

I don't believe so. People would be pissed and you'd have a couple Among Bundy types but the general population will likely just grin and bare it. Convention of the states is the most likely avenue of resistance.

It's almost like there are processes for overturning supreme court decisions that don't involve civil war.

But I totally get it. Losing always makes the wackos from the left threaten to move to Europe and the wackos from the right to start talking about drilling militias.

Nobody likes being a loser. Some take it harder than others.

If the far left keeps disenfranchising a outnumbered, but still huge chunk of America. It is going to be ugly eventually. I don't know where you live. But here in the lowlife, blue collar, non elitist hinterland I hear those words everyday. There is a growing hatred for the urban elitist left. That is real.

The irony of this quote coming from Jefferson always makes me laugh when I read it.

And yet it is truth. Jefferson was a product of his time. He was a great man who accomplished more good than little nothings like you or me ever will. But I'm sure it makes you feel better about yourself to criticize him.

Well said. This country is more divided now than it has been in decades

Hillary can't be the anti-Christ. We haven't went thru the treaty signing process that comes right around the times of the beginning of the Great Tribulation. I know you was having fun but wanted to point that out. I've read Revelations twice completely.

We're getting close to the tribulation period I believe. The Bible does say that the first president that turned against Israel would be a sign of the end of the times as well. Was has Obama done ever since he came into office? Turn against Israel.

The Bible says says America will have a president that will turn against Israel?? The Bible never mentions verbatim America or its presidents. Sure you could make that jump if you wanted but it's still a stretch to make that connection. You do you Tony, but I don't see how you can use being a Christian as your reason to vote for Hillary. Using it to not vote for Trump I could understand, but as someone else said there's other options besides Hillary. Ones with much stronger Christian views than that of Hillary.
