I'll check into it. My nephew works for a large sporting goods company and he get me that scope (or any in the vortex line) for about half off.

Vortex is a great optic. I use a Night Force for coyote hunting and it's amazing. They will build ballistic drop reticle for your primary round. I've tested mine at 600 yards and it hold MOA.

Man, that's out there!

Which night force do you have?

It is accurate particularly of the "Palestinian" Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood variety. I agree with Andrew McCarthy who would actually know what he's talking about. I'm sorry if you don't like it but I'm going to continue saying it. Its a real term.

Please do! We'll win this fight and people will realize anarcho-commie-Muslim-nazis are more than just a game mode in the next COD! Also, McCarthy was great in St. Elmo's Fire. I'd never doubt that guy! :p

so where does the Aryan race fit into this?

Well it's simple, Newt. They really don't give a damn about the Aryan race. Imagine for one second that they could somehow remove "Aryan race" from the Nazi platform and replace it with something more like Islamic faith. I know it's a radical idea, but believe it or not it's a rather popular model over there. They love the world domination thing which is actually believed by many to be prophesized and they also love to kill Jews and other non-Islamists. It's a natural fit.

Newt,

I'd like to apologize for being a little snarky yesterday. I am not apologizing for popping the coyote but I was a little harsh in my retort. I like you as a poster and you seem like a good guy. I don't always agree with your stance but I enjoy your perspective. :hi:

They do have the anti-Jew thing in common but you would think they also saw ole Adolf blow his brains out in disgrace in a bunker too.
Until they solve the whole Sunni/Shiite thing I don't see them being able to conquer much.

I'm not sure how I feel about piston guns. They obviously run cleaner but I wonder about the gunk in the piston system. How often does it need cleaning? A lot of the upper end guns are piston guns.

I'm not sure myself although I believe the whole selling point of the pistons is lower maintenance and enhanced durability, so surely it can't be that bad. I think they've worked the bugs out to where the pistons can be called superior, but at nearly double the price it's not really worth it unless you plan on running huge ammo drums empty back to back or using suppressors. Good old fashioned DI's will do the job.

This is a pretty good summary.

There are already words for all of that though, like Wahhabism, radical salafism, etc (most of which are ideologies that predate the Nazi party, FWIW). It's not like the idea of an Islamic state conquering huge swaths of land, forcing all the people to adopt their ideology, and taking out people of other beliefs is a new idea or anything. Of course, Islamo-Nazi makes for a catchier headline and requires no understanding of middle eastern history or culture, so I can understand why some would cling to it so tightly.

I don't really have a problem with using the Nazi party as in a compare/contrast to explain to people what some radical groups envision. It's probably a really useful way to explain things to someone who isn't well versed in the history/culture of the area. I just find it funny that some will attach themselves so tightly to the term.

The fact is that it's an abrasive label that makes some people squirm because it feels mean, but it's a real term that I sometimes prefer to use and so do some very highly educated and respected people. I don't insist that anyone adopt that terminology for themselves, and I'm not that tightly attached to it, but I'm not going to be shamed out of using what I believe to be a perfectly descriptive and effective term. If you'd kept quiet I probably wouldn't have been so outgoing on it's behalf, but that's not what happened.

,

It's not really that it sounds "mean" or makes me "squirm." It's more of an eye roll because it's exactly the type of term made popular by 24 hour news networks and the outrage/fear machine that the media has become.

but it's a real term that I sometimes prefer to use and so do some very highly educated and respected people.

Just being highly educated doesn't mean they're right or beyond criticism, though. If that was the case, we'd never be able to take issue with any terms Obama uses since he's in like the 98th percentile education wise. Furthermore, I'm sure those people also realize that using a term like Islamo-Nazi is more likely to get people to attend lectures, or tune into their segment on whatever news channel they're joining, or make for better soundbites than using better or more accurate terms. Islamo-Nazi is going to draw people in much better than "Wahhabism."

To each his own. You were arguing with someone else about how accurate the term was before I jumped in and started laughing at it.

Not really wanting to participate in this thread's usual partisan pecker measuring, but I chuckled when I saw this and thought I'd drop it here.
