My family was in the restaurant business for many years, when I was growing up my mom and dad always taught me that we made most of our profits on drinks, especially coffee and tea.

No doubt. Eating out has been killing us in the US this summer. I started looking closer, and realized we were paying over $2.00 each for sodas at many places. Easy to drop $12 off the bill with water

Cold brew is where it's at for me. I brew one batch for the week and it's much stronger so I don't drink as much and it equates to about a dollar a day.

K-cups are about $.50 or more per cup. Brewing a pot, $.08 per cup. In the aggregate, if you drink a lot of coffee like Sarge, Baldy, and I, K-cups will bankrupt you. :)

I have a coffee maker that grinds the beans right before brewing. It beats the hades out of other methods imo.

Never tried cold brewing coffee...

GOP just lost the war as more senators say they won't vote yes to healthcare bill. Dems will take back control in midterms next year.

That bill needed to be shot down anyway. ACA needs a complete repeal and then start from scratch. This bill did not do that so it's not a completely bad thing it happened.

I agree but I'm getting concerned they won't even do that. If they can't get this or tax reform, Trump will probably get impeached by the democratic party somehow after they win midterms lol

I was on the urinalysis list this weekend. I had just gone when they read the list. I was chugging coffee like it was cold beer on a hot day.

If you're as tight as my dad you can squeeze a pot out of one of those K-cups.

I don't know why they just don't back off and do it like the old days. 80/20 and you pay for Drs visits. Have a prescription plan with a decent copay. Office visits would come down in price. It would make people more invested in their healthcare.

I like the idea of having a "bank" on top of the insurance so you can slowly put money into it for when you really need it for medical expenses. The young can (if they're smart) pay a little into it and build it up over time because we all know we youngins ain't going to no doctor unless a bone is sticking out
