I worry about what the world will hold for my grandchildren and great grandchildren.
I never come in this thread but I have a question. I never watch cable tv and only continue to have it because of sports. I've been told to try out sling tv so I just checked it out. I can get all the sports channels I want for like $40 a month but no CBS (not that I saw). So how do you people that use other methods other than cable get all your football games?
Has anyone used sling? If not, what do you suggest to be my most cost efficient way to cut cable but get all the sports I need
We just tried sling but we do watch tv but like to record our shows so we can watch them later. Sling doesn't provide that option. I thought Sling had all the networks. I know if you have the sports package you should also get the SEC Network and be able to see UT games. If you don't watch a lot of TV, Sling would probably work well for you.

Edit: sorry to interrupt important topics of discussion for my inquiry about how I can be cheap and still watch what I wanna watch haha
I use SlingTV and like it a lot. It's not perfect and doesn't have recording options, but you can pretty much watch anything that has recently come on tv pretty easily.
Also as far as local channels like CBS go, those are already free. We just bought a $15 antenna and taped it to the window and we get CBS, NBC,
FOX and PBS and whatever else. It can be tricky at first finding the right spot for the best reception, but we found ours and haven't had any trouble with it in awhile.
And if for whatever you did have trouble one day, you can always watch CBS games live on cbssports.com if all else fails.
My only real problem with Sling is that I can't get NFL Redzone. Everything else we've pretty much learned to make work.
