Yep.

The problem is our irrational fanbase blames that on Dooley and company instead of the players. They were in position to win. That is all you ask from the coach.

What specifically (other than talent) has improved in the last 3 years? In my opinion, our talent is the only reason we have been getting close in these games, not because they are well coached.

Saban just had a presser said AJ had his knee repaired and will be out 2-3 weeks

AJ in or out doesn't matter at all. All they need is for someone to hand the ball off. We haven't been able to stop the run against anyone, and Bama is the best at it.
UT's injuries are of much bigger concern. If DY is our 1st choice at RB, then we are in big trouble because he can only make yardage when untouched (albeit decent yardage when that case occurs). I really hope Neal and/or Lane make it back because we need someone to pound the holes.
Our D seems to be pretty banged up as well, especially LBs

The point when completely over your head. And, that's ok. I'll break it down to you. Whether you're upset or not, realize that these players are giving their all each and every wk for your entertainment. Leaving the stadium, booing, etc... should never be the case.

If your problem lies with Dooley then let his boss do his job at the end of the year. Realize that our 'fans' are hurting our program by griping and complaining when at the end of the day we still have to recruit and bring in better players. Players listen and take notice to the empty stadiums and comments on this board more than most realize. Gruden or any other coach potentially brought in won't tackle or cover anyone last I checked. Well, I take that back Woody Hayes.

We've had a problem with defense for several years and this yr our problems are just magnified bc in addition to not having the athletes across the board on the backend & we r learning a new scheme.

If nothing else, I once was able to say that we had the most loyal fans in the country. Like Saban said when he came in fans need to do their job (be fans and cheer), players need to do their job and play and coaches need to do their job and coach. It's simple.

Good post. :hi:

UGA was a toss up, with us fumbling on the game winning drive.. it played out about right

UGA was literally man-handled by USCjr the following week. Based on the logic of the this forum, that should be proof enough that they are overrated and we "should have beat them."

Not attacking you, it just seems like we "should have beaten" every top 15 team on our schedule.

If talent alone were enough Auburn would be kicking arse as would Texas and Miami... I would go further in depth but I'll leave this alone you get my point.

What do you suggest he does? Bring in top 5 classes even though we've went 5-7, 7-6, 6-7, 5-7 over the last 4 years?

I know this will break into an argument but people think you have to bring in top 10 classes every year to compete, win 10 games, & go to the conference title game in the SEC. Which isn't true.

Top 15 isn't an A. Are we using some kind of curved grading scale?

Our roster is still pretty average. We are in on some big names right now, but you can't tell me our current class is anywhere close to an A.

Adding North, Green, Bell, Johnson, Koehler would be an A in my book. I guess I don't have high expectations though.

You're right 15/119 teams is technically an 88. So B+.

:good!:

5-7, 6-7, 6-7, 5-7, 3-3. Yet we are bringing in top 15 classes..hell we are lucky we are even doing that w/ the past 5 years.

Also, didn't know NSD was today.
