Just catching up on today's events...

I just watched today's presser, when asked about DR's whereabouts Dooley shrugged his shoulders and mumbled what sounded like "idk". FWIW

so, Rajion ran a 4.36 40 at that size... which is nuts.

CJ Spiller ran 4.37
Jahvid Best 4.35
LaMichael James 4.45

Hubbs said that he has been trying to get answers about exactly what happened w/ Da'Rick from sources w/in the program & the only thing they will say is "he's gone & we're moving on".

You know how they faked Bray's injury in the last scrimmage? Wouldn't it be epic if CDD and David Ricky were sitting in the new facility cracking up reading VN and twitter right now? All part of fighting through adversity. Just wanted to see how the team
handled it.

Yeah, that's it.

Hopefully it's just the uneasy feeling of losing a player and not one of those prematoryimonitions

Incredibly nice to have, no doubt. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if there is less distraction and it hones us in on the 31st

I'm not confident in Hunter's knee untl we make it through the season, if the worst happened we would be in bad shape. Also interested to see how Tyler does without his favorite WR when things get tough.

What? His knee is no more likely to injure than any other WR. That's not how those injuries work. You can say his frame isn't built for abuse like DR but his knee is fine.

If "the worst" happened every team in America would be in bad shape.

Kick woods off USC then have Marquise Lee get hurt. THey'd be in really bad shape.

I just know that if you have weak knees you're are susceptible to injury, watching my brothers knee injuries ruin his college career because he had bad knees is just a little scary. Just less room for errors and injuries.

I think we lose to NC state. Hope I'm wrong.

I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised.

We're going to pound the ball at their weak front 7 and open up the passing game. If they can't stop the run it won't matter who we have at WR. And I don't think they will be able to stop the run, they weren't very good at it last year and that was before they lost their 2 starting DT's and 3 starting LB's. They also weren't very good at protecting their QB, giving up over 20 sacks against some pretty bad opponents. Our front 7 should sack their QB a handful of times or more. With or w/o DR I think this game is no less than a 20pt win for the Vols. JMO

And the effect of the other guys stepping up can’t be understated. Everybody taking a personal responsibility and taking ownership of the team’s record will make this a better team. And most of these guys are still trying to get the stink of the 2011 season off them and will want to prove that Tennessee is back.

I'm much more worried about UF now, not NCst

It feels like we are on tilt and the season hasn't even started.

I'm not sure if I mean it, but I really feel right now that I wish it was anyone else gone and not DR. I'm not confident in the offenses' ability to be dynamic without him.

He was our best player, probably not our most important. I think we can still be good. Hinges on the run game. Neal with blocking will wear teams out, and we have, IMO, 3 capable backs.
