yep and that is on Butch for his stubbornness to trust in players over X/Os. He is too busy thinking in the now on field that he isn't preparing for the future.

Callaway, Bituli, Warrior, KP, DT, jack jones, Venzell, Richmond, Dormady should have had more experience coming into this year with reps last 2 seasons. Instead all are learning on the job in a critical year for his job.

Now he should be rotating in Shamburger, Labruzza, Jackson, Osborne, Ignont, Butler, D Johnson more than he is as they will be needed next yr

Time to move on. These players deserve better.

What a dumb statistic. We beat South Carolina in 2013 who finished the season ranked #4, but other teams are getting credit for beating vastly overrated opponents who finished the year unranked.

Also, probably 18-19 of our top 10 losses came against Alabama, LSU, Meyer-era Florida, Oregon, and Oklahoma.

It’s a dumb stat for sure. Most of these “eye opener” stats are wacky.

This is a 10 win talent team...

But unfortunately you might be correct about actual total

Which contributors do we lose from this team going into next year not including transfers or quits?

OL Robertson
OL Thomas
OL Kendrick

TE Ethan Wolf
TE Jakob Johnson

WR Josh Smith
WR Jeff George

RB none

QB none

Punter Daniels

Kicker Medley

DE none

DT Kendal Vickers
DT Alexis Johnson *blue chip

LB Elliott Berry
LB Cortez McDowell *blue chip

CB Emanuel Moseley
CB Shaq Wiggins *blue chip
CB Justin Martin *blue chip

S Todd Kelly, jr ? *blue chip
S/KR Evan Berry *blue chip

Assuming everyone else is back the only major losses could be Robertson and Daniels?

Assuming the incoming class stays intact and perhaps even improves a bit we are going to be loaded with both talent and experience for whoever is coaching next year. Our blue chip ratio could improve by as much as 20% over this year. jmo.

What difference does it make who the teams are? Stat is just another reference point to show how long we've sucked.

Yep. That was my biggest problem with the goal line calls at FL. Why put the game in the hands of the least consistent component of your offense? Some of the play calls would have worked in a vacuum, but you have to consider your personnel also.

That's what I said last week.

I think Kelly leaves for the NFL.

It's indeed a dumb stat, but point remains that UT hasn't beaten a top-ten team at the time of the game since 2006 UGA. Last top five win was 2005 LSU.

Anyone wanna go on the record on what the minimum it'll take to keep butch? I think he stays at 8-4 and is a coin toss at 7-5

I don't think that there is any way in the world JK stays, unfortunately.

I'm not debating that we've sucked. That's obvious. But our top 10 opponents almost all finished the season in the top 10.

Vandy's lone "top 10" win came against a South Carolina team that finished 6-6.

South Carolina had a top 10 win against a Kentucky team that same year that finished 8-5.

Kentucky beat top 10 Louisville same year that finished 6-6.

Miss State beat #8 LSU, #6 A&M, and #2 Auburn. All three of those teams finished 8-5 that season.
