Dude if you could only be objective and read the drivel you have thrown out all day. You have given up on this staff and this team. After 4 games. Vol card REVOKED. Seriously. Is this how you fish? One cast and no hit so you say screw this lake its done? The sad thing is you don't even realize it with your caviat "but I still hope we win..." bs. No you don't, at least come clean.

Vols will play their hearts out Saturday and I will pull for them until the end. Period. Not worrying about a possible coaching search in 3 months.

OUR backs are against the wall and you are already out the door. If this was the Alamo you would already be speaking Spanish.

If I fished the same lake for 5 years and never caught a fish, then yes I would quit fishing that lake.

I don't want a moral victory I want a WIN so stick that right up the glory hole. If we lose by 1 or 50 it doesn't matter to me it just sucks.

In hindsight it would've been better to drop the two to GT and UMass so we could focus on SEC play with an interim. Oh well.

You're right, you don't. I haven't given up on the team, but I have the staff. This is year 5. The reason I am ready for a change is because I believe that we are an extremely talented team, and yet we look terrible, our players aren't developed, we lost to the worst Florida team I've ever seen, struggled with Umass, and from the sounds of it the locker room is a mess, and several former players have already turned on Butch. He isn't going to win here. We have the team to win, we do not have the coach. As I said yesterday, he can prove me wrong. All he has to do to prove me wrong is win, and I'll be right here apologizing to him. But I don't believe he can do it. He hasn't shown anything in 5 years to make anyone believe that he is going to take us to a championship. If that makes you mad, I'm sorry. Don't know what else to tell you.

You act like I'm on here just posting monologues. This is a forum. I am having discussions with people. They are responding to my posts and I am responding to theirs. It is a dialogue. I am not just on here posting statements unilaterally

I think if most of us are being honest we are in a rock and a hard place with Saturday's game. Pull out a win and we are back in the east race. But Butch has not shown he can win big games when it matters, so we probably lose some game(s) we shouldn't, lose the division (again!), but Butch gets an extension because he won just enough games. He is going to make the same mistakes he has made every single season- nothing will change next year and then it will be more costly to fire him. We lose to Ga and it moves things along quicker to finally get a winning coach here.

Sure I have. Butch Jones has put a number of keepers in my live well and had a few get off right at the net. The fishing with him has been much better than the guys before him. I am betting I catch a wall hanger this weekend.

Sure beats hoping for a skunk at the lake.
