Unfortunately guys, I have some bad news. In all my years of playing Freak's pick 'em contest, I have NEVER gotten more than 8 games right in a single week. NEVER. IN.ALL.THOSE.YEARS. I was pulling for either A&M or WVa tonight because Saturday I went 6/7 losing only my NC State pick over USCe (I had UCLA & VT tonight). Now I'm sitting at 8/9 with only one contest remaining. I know my ceiling and having decades of experience in the markets have long ago learned, this time is NEVER different. Sorry guys, I didn't pick GT in the game tomorrow night. Really.Really.Sorry. Did anyone read the comments of the A&M regent saying Sumlin should be fired after tue game last night? He thought they should have done it immediately after the game ended.

There's no way he's the coach there next year. Only question is how early they fire him this season

Texas teams have had a hard time of it, but they do have a good excuse this year. ( games don't mean much when so much of your state is under water.)

Still, I think Sumlin/Chief are gone. That was beyond bad. (and yes, I gave up on that game and turned it off)

here in ATL listening to the radio while i drive. Hearing nothing but venom and hate from everyone. Cant wait to shut some people up tonight boys! lets go!

I posted this last week. I know he's at MSU, but he hasn't exactly done well in conference in his 9 years. His OOC schedules has allowed him to go to bowl games in several years.

He could probably jump to a G5 team if there are enough openings (i.e. If enough of those guys jump to P5 gigs). I'm sure they'll remember what he did at Houston and be happy with the type of 8-9 win bar he can likely achieve somewhere with low expectations.

I think that the point is that one game is not enough information to make a good enough prediction this far away from that game on our schedule. Tonight, if we win big, we will have posters talking CFP. Conversely, if we lose or struggle and still win, the 5-7 hordes will be out in force. LSU did not reveal their full game plan, and, yes, they looked good. BYU does not look that good, but maybe they just played a terrible game. The pundits are now already saying that LSU is the most likely team to unseat Bama. Way too early for that.

Sumlin would land on his feet. We are entering a new era of coaching hires where these guys are gonna be recycled like NBA coaches.

There are two teams in the West that have even a very slim chance of that and LSU is one of them for sure.
