Also, I don't see a team scoring more than 20 on us before Alabama. Georgia might, but I'll have to see them first. If our line holds up we will be seriously nasty on D

Geez, a female ESPN reporter (maybe from SECN) was interviewing McElwain, and she asked about his 3 "dynamic" QB's.

When McElwain was talking about Franks, he said he has a strong arm but doesn't always know where it's going.

Del Rio....dynamic? Lololololol 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Stop. You're killing me

Is everyone low on Jumper disregarding any benefits another offseason would have given him athletically or knowledge wise? I think he will have improved, especially since the staff knew he would be relied upon this year. I think he'll be just fine. Maybe not the best option, but certainly not the worst.

How many upperclassmen improve athletically this late in their career?

About to game thread you jokers. Gimme a lil time

I think Jumpers skill sets matches up really well against GT. If he's going to play this is the game. Alot different than having him play an Oregon trying to cover people.

Very true. He won't be covering (or trying to cover) any athletic TE I don't think.

Stop that! That doesn't fit the narrative of him being a bust that doesn't help at all, obviously they're writing lies.

Don't show the FF this😂😂

Too late, they already saw. Don't worry though, Freak is handling that situation. :)

This is gibberish.

"KMac picked up a 'bull rush pressure' from a 2-point stance better than just about anybody last year in limited snaps". Yay! What does that even mean??

He didn't tackle anybody, certainly not behind the line of scrimmage, ever, and never got near the quarterback, but by God PFF says his 2 solo tackles in 6 games put him #2 amongst interior defensive linemen. Well that settles it....and why isn't KMac a preseason All-American? First team All-SEC? He's getting robbed I tell ya, robbed.

It's gibberish because you don't understand it?

Those points don't say anything about tackles or sacks.

Who would have the coverage on an A back wheel route if we're in a 4-3? I'm guessing strong and weak side LBs with Jumper staying home for the full back or QB?

Definitely not the worst option. His improvement from 2015 season to 2016 season was exceptional. Kirkland loss is a blow to the Defense but Jumper will be fine and Bituli/Ignot should provide some relief as well.

Just something else for people to ***** ab and unfortunately it won't end when season starts. One missed tackle and you'll have a thousand posts and threads on Jumper.

Root for the guy or don't, idgaf. But he'll be a big factor this year so I'd suggest people stop being so negative.

GBO!

We won't play very much man. We will zone up and allow everyone to keep their eyes on the QB. I expect some exotic coverages from Shoop.

As much as GT runs it, we have to have an LB staying home pretty much every play right? They only throw like a dozen times a game.

What about shedding blocks, awareness or tackling?

Again, that improvement typically happens from freshman to sophomore, unless we're talking linemen. Usually by this late in someone's career, especially if you've seen hundreds of snaps from them, you know what you have.

I would say the majority do. They have learned how to take care of their bodies and most feel better able to handle life as an athlete. That helps them perform better athletically. Plus the game slows down with experience, which enables their athleticism to show up more. Time is their friend in this regard.

But when they do, its usually to a wide open player on a busted coverage. Our backend guys have to be very disciplined and not try to jump plays.
