-Pro Football FocusTennessee junior DI Kahlil McKenzie suffered a season-ending injury (torn pectoral muscle) just six games into the 2016 season, limiting him to just 152 defensive snaps. In that span, he earned the No. 2 ranked overall grade (78.6) among returning Power 5 interior defenders with less than 200 defensive snaps.
McKenzie also ranked No. 2 against the run among that same group of interior defenders, posting an 80. 4 run defense grade.
Though his pass-rush repertoire is limited, McKenzie picked up a bull rush pressure once every 18.7 rushes, which ranked No. 1 in the draft class.
He also ranked No. 1 in pass-rush productivity from a two-point stance at 26.8

But I thought he wasn't any good?

Somebody most likely said that about Peyton once upon a time...he was following Jerry Colquitt AND Todd Helton. Maybe give up on that 98 championship when Jamal Lewis's knee went kaput...what the hell is that scrub Travis Henry going to be able to do? :dunno:
Are you seriously comparing Jumper being next man in to Peyton Manning and Cheese Henry? Everybody knew those guys were going to be good even though they were inexperienced. You got a talent of that magnitude waiting in the wings at LB? Come on man..
So I took my son today to the Appalachian Fair here in East Tennessee. While waiting in line for a ride, I noticed a family in front of me and the dad looked familiar. The mom was wearing a black football jersey with the name "Patrick" on the back.
An older man in front of them asked her about her jersey, and she said it was a college jersey for a community college in Mississippi. I instantly knew then how I recognized the dad. It was Camion Patrick and Isaiah Wright's father. If you've watched Last Chance U, you remember that they interviewed him in the second season and they went inside their home in Knoxville.
Anyway, he told me that Isaiah had left West Georgia and was visiting ETSU, hoping to be able to enroll. Would be awesome to see him dominating the Southern Conference!
If you don't know, we are opening our new on-campus, outdoor stadium next Saturday. I was the first person, according to my buddy who is the new AD, to contribute to the capital fund to build the stadium over 3 years ago, so I'm pretty excited. If you're ever in JC, come out and support the Bucs. We play in Neyland next year!
