hes 1-1 vs butch. stop dyckriding, thats easy to hop on a wagon. riding a guy who has been in the league only half as long as the other guy is weak.

nah, i just dont see how hes better. Im not seeing it when i watch games. He inherited an elite defense his first two yrs when butch was given garbage his first yr or two. and yet hes only .500 against Butch. I dont see how hes so much better.

Been in the league half as long as Butch but has two more division titles with two Florida teams that weren't as good as Tennessee either year. That ain't weak if you ask me.

Doesn't mean we had a better roster, means that CBJ was getting more out of them than Muschmp.

Blows my mind that anyone can think we had a better roster than pretty much anyone in CBJ's 1st or 2nd season.

Well I guess he ended up not getting more out them because he ended up losing. If Florida had the better roster that year it wasn't by much. It took Donkey coming in there to get the most out of them to win the east the next two years.

Then why even say anything? It adds absolutely nothing because you can't/won't give any details about who told you this info. Protecting your "source" I'm sure but you knew that is the type of reaction you were going to get. Kinda surprised it took that long honestly.

I enjoy this site for many reasons. I know many here like to come here for info. I thought that info was worth sharing. I know I like seeing posters posting such things. Surprised anyone here would argue with that.

I have info from someone that saw him get hurt with their own eyes. Not sure why the hell you want to argue with that .

Good night boys. Hope he isn't hurt badly but he 110% got hurt in practice

He ended up losing by 1 point, in a game we were 5pt dogs in. Based on what the pros thought, he outperformed.

You're still trying to compare CJM's first 2 years with CBJ's 1st two years. No comparison.

But my point is that I could make that exact post and be adamant that's it's accurate.

Only problem is I know absolutely no one who was at a practice to tell me that. Beauty of the internet is there's no way to prove that either of us isn't FOS.

Mac inherited a much better situation than Butch. Muschamp may not have won the way they expected him to at UF, but he recruited well and left a lot of talent, especially on defense. That defensive talent, combined with the rest of the East being down (plus a HUGE assist from UT's injury armageddon in 2017), allowed Mac to back into a couple of divisional titles. He hasn't recruited well (at least not by UF standards) and has been lucky to avoid some really embarrassing losses (was it FAMU or FIU they barely beat with a last second stop in the end zone that should have been a pass interference?). This all adds up to a whole lot of dumb luck going his way during in his time in Gainseville. I think that luck will run out this year though, and it really won't be much of a coincidence that his luck running out will correspond with all that defensive talent Muschamp recruited also starting to run out. Honestly, the only positive I see for UF right now is that their recruiting finally seems to be picking up, but I wonder how that will hold up if they lose 4 or 5 games this year like I expect them to.

Anyway, I say all of that to say this, no way I take Mac over Butch.
