How do you think they would have done if their situations were reversed? I'd say CBJ would have won the SECe too, if he had UF's roster. They'd also be in much better shape with his recruiting.

On the other hand, CJM probably wouldn't have done better than CBJ at UT. The roster would not be much better than it was, if at all, with how CJM has recruited.

People on here act like he's a terrible coach or something. He's proved more in two years than Butch has in his first 4 years. Yeah sure he got a break or two go his way but nobody can say he didn't get the most out his teams in his first two years. Can Jones say that? Donkey has found a way to win the east two years running with a garbage QB/offense.

CBJ had a better roster than Mac last year, so I'll disagree.

Both rosters healthy, Tennessee had the better roster and I don't think there's much of a debate. 6 players drafted off that team with a better QB and offensive line, talent wise IMO. Tennessee has really had a better roster than Florida for about four years now if you count this year.

hes 1-1 vs butch and a fourth down miracle away from being 0-2 vs little ol butch.

Why is their an argument for just winning the sec east? Since when did just winning the east become a barometer as a good coach? Do you get a ring for winning the east I don't get it, the only trophy that matters is winning the SEC nobody cares who comes in second...Mac and butch have both proven nothing so this is a stupid argument

As the facts change so does my opinion. If we're talking about the here and now, Mcelwain to me has proven to be a better coach in this league. You are what your record says you are to quote Bill Parcells.
