Did he develop any of them? Maybe Coates. Duke wasn't exactly developed. The list of guys he has recruited is great. But, as a WR coach, who has he developed? The talent he had at LSU was very good, and they didn't exactly wow anyone.

Auburn and LSU had terrible QBs. Dukes problem was he had Daniel Brooks aggression to fight everyone by throwing punches and asking questions later. He was clearly talented the year Craig had him. Either way Butch is the WR guy and just needs an elite level recruiter there. Craig probably isn't even the guy anyway

No way it ends up Craig! Butch has never coached, coached with or served as offspring's godfather. He doesn't hire such on the offensive side...other than Gillespie...or Scott...

LSU's QB situation didn't wow anyone either.

I realize that, but according to our own fan base, our QB didn't wow anyone with his arm. Our WRs did just fine.

Also, realize that I'm not taking side here. I just want to know who Craig has developed at WR. Is he worth anything as a WR coach? His recruiting ability is undeniable. I guess in many eyes his ability to recruit will make up for his inability to develop WRs?

If Blackburn is hired he better hang the moon or there are gonna be a slew of disappointed fans who hitched up to his super wagon.

The only place he's been WR coach at for more than a year is Auburn. Sammie Coates, Ricarrdo Louis, Quan Bray and Duke Williams for the 1 year he had his head on straight all were decently successful. But it's hard to know for sure because Auburns passing offense was basically just screens, RPOs, and play action deep balls.

My time in grad school at Auburn overlapped with him being here, and the consensus was that everyone thought he was succesful. The general thought was that he only left because Gus likes to keep everything on offense in his own coaching tree and he would never get a chance to be OC there.

Craig has stated he wants to be an OC

He ain't really in the position to be making such demands but we have a pass game Coord role available just not a "Co-OC". Thinks it's mute point though as price and simonton both have sources saying he isn't a candidate

Andre Coleman at K state looks like a solid up and comer after reading up on him. Played in NFL As WR and KR. Some good WRs at KST mainly Lockett. KST considers him a great recruiter but wouldn't really know until he had a bigger product to sell. Most of his recruits are from GA. Born in NC.

To be fair..LSU QBs are always horrendous..

We do need a KR coach now
