Good observations. Kongbo helped DB. His effort forced them to play DB straight up much of the game. Personally I want to see him step right into DB's spot. Let Phillips and Taylor fight it out on the other side.

Richmond has control of LT. Some posters on here gave up on him too quickly.

Gave up on him after a RS year lol.

Honestly, I'm not sure what Hart has done to substantially increase revenue. He got the one time Nike payment, but by all accounts that was a terrible deal he negotiated. TV money comes in regardless. Far more smoke about him alienating donors than maximizing donations.
Yeah, he wasn't an excellent AD by any means. But the AD treading water when he came on and he stabilized it.

The UT AD is a cash cow. It shouldn't be that hard to keep it out of the red. But Hamilton left it in a bad, bad way and Hart does deserve the credit for getting things back on track. I think he and Butch are a lot alike in that regard. Both could have done more to this point to elevate where we're currently at. But both have don good jobs getting things back on track when had fallen so far before.

I thought we were pretty good, but after watching alabubbas DTs, I agree with you. Still think kmack will be at that level before he leaves and Tuttle too if he can get healthy. Need more of those guys.

It won't be popular on here, but if Tuttle's not ready I hope they RS him. He is too good to lose because of staying injured. Let's get him healthy and strong. It will pay big dividends if they do. Anxious to see if Butcher will be ready to provide some depth.

KMac is gonna be a 1st round pic one day. Shy is a beast. Hope he makes it back to full form.

If I was head coach I would start my recruiting board at DT and I would try to win that position every single year in February.

I'm aware of that, but considering where we are with OL, why not? It's one of the bright spots of the team going into next year.

We said the same thing going into 2016, and boy did they struggle early on. OL development has not been as good as it could have been thus far.

Also, it's an opportunity for Butch to make an upgrade and bring in someone with a bit of an outside perspective and/or someone better on the recruiting trail.

Basically, it's an opportunity for Butch to evolve and upgrade his staff. It should be taken.

Yeah. I didn't like the second round at all.

I like the Henry pick more now than I did at the time. I liked the Kevin Dodd pick more then than I do now. Haven't given up on him yet though. And the Johnson pick is meh but he could be productive.

Really looking forward to how the staff is reworked. This is an opportunity for Butch to make things much better.

I said the same about Tuttle. We don't need a repeat of this year with him. Butcher is on crutches again so I'm very skeptical on him.

I remembering liking the Henry pick a lot, but did not know enough on Dodd. I agree, hope he works out. I agree on Johnson, one of those maybes.

I agree, if we have guys who can play

JRM?- I think injuries scared too many GMs might be late round or FA
Malone?- maybe I would like to see him at the combine
Croom?- not enough time a TE to give anyone confidence
Vereen?- would love to see him against big dogs of other conferences
Weisman?- forgot he was a senior and we need a OL in the combine but I don't think he'll get an invite
Foreman?- he needs a chance but I think it will be as a FA after a good pro day
All my opinion of course

We weren't elite there this past year, but it should have been good enough to compete at the highest level without shockingly bad luck. I don't know if any team in the nation could sustain the amount of attrition we had at DT this year and not have a major drop off.

I'd say the DT rotation is shakier headed into this season than it was last season.

They can rotate Kongbo in as needed, but prefer he settle in to DE and go kill it. They need more quality depth at DT. Picou is Owen Williams without the strength. Hopefully the new S&C guy can help that.

Well, with respect to identifying talent and bringing in blue chip talent, OL has not been an issue. Hard to make the case Mahoney has been a recruiting problem.

I think Malone and JRM are locks for the combine. The others I agree about but I think guys like Croom and Foreman could turn some heads of they got the chance to go.

Who all is goin to the senior bowl? What is the other all-star game?

We weren't close to elite. Even healthy. Not close.

I think KMac takes a step. This year. Could be next but I think he takes it. Hoping the younger guys step up.

Alexis Johnson. Vickers. Both those need to step up.

We have got to recruit better at DT.
