McElwain on the hot seat... Lol.

He's done an outstanding job down there with what he has had.

His main problem is recruiting.

losing to us would almost be like us losing to kentucky when dooley was coach.

Edit: Yes i know kentucky is a much worse team, but the florida faithful don't have a lot of respect for tennessee.

😳

Hopefully their defense will start to weaken year by year. Muschamp may be the worst coach of all time to UF fans, but he loaded the cupboard on defense. Mac isn't replacing that talent fast enough, though.

Imagine if Dobbs would have played in the '14 game against UF over Worley. Have to think we win that one going away, right?

I noticed that with the 12 personnel late in the game also. Looked like we were running out of the pistol a bit and looked alright doing it with that personnel grouping.

Interesting since we saw some 2TE sets against Ap State but didn't have much success with it. Also interesting that week 1 Eli Wolf was the second TE with that personnel grouping but last week it was Jakob (who looked more physical, IMO).

Honestly I have no idea what kind of formations and personnel Debord is gonna run with for most of the game Saturday. IMO our best look as Hurd on the field with Kamara (or Kelly, who IMO has shown the best vision of the 3 in limited snaps), but Debord seems to be really set on trying more with 2 TEs this year.

It will be interesting to see if the staff has actually been holding back for UF or if they really are just that vanilla this year.

I've been in Oregon without much cell phone coverage this past week. Didnt get to watch but a few minutes of the game. Has Richmond been benched?

My theory:

Our coaches are better pre-game coaches than in-game coaches. They scheme and plan for the stiffer competition but maybe don't as much for the lesser competition. And since they aren't as good at making in-game adjustments, they may tend to play down to their competition. But I believe they've had some of the bigger games like Florida penciled in for a while. So, they'll have a great game plan, which will include a lot more variety than we've seen thus far.

I too think we'll see a completely different team than we've seen this year. And our coaches will have them motivated.

After rewatching just the offensive plays from last week, for the most part they had good game plan and called it decently. Like Pfort said, they were 2 overthrown balls to Malone from blowing the game open. The head-scratching thing to me is that so far this season it seems like there's always 3-4 straight possessions in the 2nd and 3rd quarter where Debord has a brain aneurism and only calls screen passes and inside zone run plays.

But the play-calling on our 3 scoring drives+ the Preston drop/int is pretty much everything that we ask for. It baffles me how much our coaches try to preach consistency when we can't get consistent play-calling

Butch said Alexis Johnson is getting closer to play and that is conditioning is improving. We will see him in a game soon he added.

Butch Jones says Chance Hall is "good to go" and Jalen Reeves-Maybin had a "productive" practice on Tuesday.

Butch said "we will see" when it comes to Chance Hall starting on Saturday.

Butch Jones says he still fully anticipates Chance Hall and Jalen Reeves-Maybin playing against Florida.

Jones won’t commit to Hall being in the starting lineup at this point…did say he’s working at right tackle in practice.

Jones asked why Evan Berry doesn’t get more touches.

"You’ll see a little bit more with him in terms of his role”

I like it! Maybe we are about to see what many have been asking for a long time...Evan getting some touched on offense.

Kongbo would be starting and wreaking havoc if he just had a better get off from the snap. Often he's our slowest DL off the ball and the OL assigned to blocking him has already taken a step before Kongbo even gets started.

Scary thing is, he still gives them hell with his strength and athleticism even though he's somewhat slow off the ball. It's a shame we couldn't get him on campus in the spring. I'm sure Strip could've had this issue fixed or at least improved for him.

If he manages to get that corrected and put it all together, he and Barnett will feast on QBs.

Barnett is so fast it makes him look slow too. Barnett is about to go ballistic Saturday. You can bank on that. He had 9 quarterback hurries versus Ohio alone. Lol Appleby can't run and that O-line is SLOP.

."@UTCoachJones notes that #Florida's Jarrad Davis was a 3-star, and now he's one of nation's top LBs. Defending #Vols' three-star commits?"

since i couldnt respond in the other one

You ran for 223 versus Kentucky.

Southern Miss ran for 262 versus them.

North Texas was bullying your O-line in short yardage situations. Wrap your head around that.

Your team is talking because they are SCARED. No other way to put it. And they better be too. Because the Vols defense about to put that Riddell all over your offense. You can bank on that you Florida Clown Azz fan.

spurrier talked a lot im sure he was just scared every time he opened his mouth nothing to do with confidence

either way it worked out and he owned your top 5 teams in the 90's

since he got to uf 26 years ago this "rivaly" has been a one sided blood bath and you know it

if you win saturday ill be here to eat my crow but come on scared after 11 in a row lolz
