Don't have the link but Greg McElroy and another talking head on ESPN said Florida was the team to beat in the East with the defense and Del Rio at QB. Finebaum said they were crazy and weren't coming out of UT with a win. Its interesting because they refer to the "horrible qb play Florida had last year." Pretty sure we faced Grier and not Treon. I also find it interesting they refer to how great Florida's defense will be but ours I guess will be pedestrian. Can't wait to see what Shoop adds to the mix.[/QUOT
I heard McElroy make the statement yesterday. Del Rio has thrown 18 passes in the Pac and from what I read was running behind a couple of Freshmen QB's! Hasn't thrown a pass in real game, so how can anyone make the claim that he is the answer for Florida at QB?
He is gonna be overwhelmed when he faces our defense and 102,455!
Lol, why would they lie about Tuttle's status for App State? It makes no major difference if he plays or not vs a team like that. No need for gamesmanship vs a Sun Belt team. He's on film moving really well. There is no conspiracy about his health.
I have no idea but Butch and company are all about hiding injuries. It's a little weird if you ask me. I get sometimes it can be a competitive advantage but other times seems silly. Again I'm just repeating what other players on the dline have told me. Whether that's true or not we'll see. I'm hoping they're wrong and the coaches are telling the truth.

How recently did they tell you that he wasn't ready? By all accounts it sounds like he didn't look remotely ready at the beginning/middle of fall camp but has made huge progress in the past 7-10 days with no setbacks. So perhaps the coaches believe they can play him at 75-80% for a handful of snaps vs App State, VT, and Ohio as he continues healing and get him as ready as possible for Florida.

I don't blame CBJ for not sharing info about injuries and not opening up more practices to the media. The local media has been quick to spin things against UT, and if they can create drama for clickbait, they will. Keeping things in-house seems smart to me.
