I'm gonna say it...I might get flamed for it but....Vereen will put up similar numbers to Barnett this year.
Im not arguing against talent, just pointing out that we haven't seen our 2016 starting safeties play as starters yet, so it seems natural for people to be a little less certain about what they'll bring to the table than guys we have seen.
Further proving my point that you are the exact type of poster that this site needs less of.
TK has really impressed me defending the pass. At times his tackling has left me skeptical though. Hopefully him playing more of a true FS under Shoop will benefit his skill set.
He actually tackled well last year. Was sticking too, you've got to remember some players are rhythm guys. Most times safeties aren't subbed in and out. So when he's pulled and then inserted back in out of the blue he has to adjust quickly to what is going on at times.
Eh he had some moments where his tackling was subpar. He tackled well at times too, but he was inconsistent. The Arkansas game was an ugly night for him.
I'm convinced that his inconsistency tackling is the main reason he wasn't starting over McNeil in 2015. Hopefully you're right and being able to start and get in a rhythm will help him. I feel confident he'll be more consistent in 2016, but he's still gotta show it.
Got toasted against UGA at the end too. If the WR catches that, it's a whole other opinion going on here. Still think he will do great this year
