New golf bag. I don't even play a ton of golf. But I couldn't resist buying this. Might have to start playing more now just to show this baby off.

Peyton got one question about the sexual assault stuff, and ESPNs feed cut out.

Sounded like he was about to go off on lies and misthruth. Wish I could have seen it.

Funny how that was the only part of the whole video feed that cut out.

Yea, it was odd

He handled it exceptionally well.

Cliffs -

"This is a joyous day"
"It's a shame some people want to be miserable"
"I did not do what is alleged"
"Not going to spend anymore time talking about something that happened when I was 19"

"That's all I have to say about that."

I hate golf, but dig the old school star logo.

Yeah I feel ya. It's a frustrating and expensive sport. I liked it more when I was younger. But it can make for a pretty great day out with the fellas when the weather is right.

And yeah I wish we saw that star logo in some of our new stuff.

I feel like my childhood officially closed today.

Because every time I watched Peyton play football I was taken back to the 9 year old boy that I was when he took over for TN @UCLA in 1994.

I couldn't have been any more blessed then for God to have given me Peyton Manning as my lifelong hero.

Thanks Peyton.

I know I'm probably in the minority on this but I have never liked the idea of building statues for athletes and coaches. I hope we don't rush out to build a statue of Peyton. I don't like the Neyland statue or the Pat Summitt statues either.

Just never been big on statues. Not sure why. I know most don't share my opinion.

I honestly think the Colts should build the statue for Peyton right outside of LO stadium. You build statues for the most significant person in team history. As great as Peyton was to TN that person was Neyland.

But if not for Peyton, the Colts would be in LA and that franchise owes everything they have to him.

Yeah, I've always just thought statues were weird. I never understood why people like them so much.

That's a really weird thing to feel strongly about. Tennessee doesnt just hand out statues like a lot of places...but Neyland and Pat definitely deserved the two that they have.

For me, there is a line between idolatry and a healthy appreciation of said athlete or coach. As long as it doesn't cross the line, I'm cool with statues.

I get how you could feel like this.

But it's Peyton man. What a legend. Build it up and make it shiny and show it off to croots everywhere. Never let anybody forget where that future hall of famer played his college football.

Word on the idolatry. I feel like Pat's and The General's statues are out of respect. Bama fans literally worship the Bear statue and then some.

What he did here in Chattanooga after the shootings last year was incredible. Great football player no doubt. He is a greater person than football player if that's possible. He has a heart as big as the ocean.

Random but have any of you guys seen the Georgia football forum the Junkyard? Litterally the most delusional fanbase I've ever seen. I've seen things such as UGA has better facility, and Kirby is building a dynasty, and that Tennessee is in an unrecoverable tailspin due to the off field stuff. There also too delusional to know that they finished third in the SEC East in 2015 not 2nd

No even gonna lie...

I teared up watching Manning's press conference.

And yeah, that man deserves a statue on The Hill.

PM is the GOAT. It's a combination of so many attributes with the man. Some of it is on-field accomplishments, some of it his leadership on and off the field, some of it is his communications skills, some of it is his giving back to the less fortunate, some of it is his strong attention to family and friends, some of it is his allegiance to Vol Nation, etc. All of it is about his focus toward all those great things.

I still am in awe of PM.

Coach Fulmer was just on the Game in Nashville, and dropped the "working like heck" line when referring to Peyton Manning. I have officially now gone back down memory lane today.
