Now I realize where I am and that there are more than a few people on here that are short a few cards of a full deck, but this is ridiculous. We should be talking about Peyton Manning and his great career, not overblowing some benign event.

So if you remove the possibility of either QB transferring, do you think the coaches would consider redshirting Dormady next season and letting Sheriron be the #2 behind Dobbs? This would give us 3 rFr QBs heading into 2017 and the stage would be set for one helluva position battle.

We need to see 3 areas of improvement if we are getting to Atlanta this December.

1) pass blocking - I think this is the key to improvement in the pass game. The tackle position must be solidified. Preferably with a tackle and not a guard playing tackle. I know everyone assumes DR steps into this role but he is an unknown at this point. Let's hope he has a great offseason.

2) defensive tackle - we've got to improve at DT. We did not get enough push in the interior last year. I think we have enough talent at DE to do some serious damage but we've got to collapse the pocket to remove the QB's ability to step up into the pocket when pressure comes from the end. We need better DT play.

3) safety - secondary will be improved talent wise this fall but we need someone to step up into a leadership position back there and fill BR shoes.

Yes! Thanks! I couldn't find #85 so I had Stocstill in there even though I knew he wasn't a scholarship player. Boulware is likely 3rd team LG right now, I would guess.

So, apparently, Kongbo hasn't officially signed yet:


"Landing four-star DE Jonathan Kongbo was a major recruiting victory for Butch Jones’ 2016 recruiting class.

But according to a report from Rebels247, the nation’s top JUCO prospect is not officially a Vol just yet.

The report claims that Kongbo has yet to file his letter of intent six days after National Signing Day.


Needless to say, that’s a concerning development for a Tennessee team that has already celebrated the talented defender as one of its own.

According to SEC Country, which was able to contact Kongbo directly about the report late Monday, it is a matter of getting a signature from his father and not about an uncertain feelings towards the Vols program.

“My dad has been away,” Kongbo told SEC Country. “He will sign it when he gets home.”

When asked if he was looking at other schools, Kongbo said, “I’m not looking around. I’m not interested in anybody else.”

Kongbo has completed financial aid paperwork with Tennessee, which is how the school was able to promote him on signing day, according to the report."

Agree. In short yardage or goal line situations we have a need for this type blocked instead of a TE. And honestly, we really don't have a true brute of a blocking TE on the roster. Would be wise imo.

Only change I would make is that Tatum is a Tackle through and through. I don't believe that they will move him to Guard. They think he can be special at tackle from what they said on signing day.
