Couldn't agree more on UGA. Coming off of an emotional game against Florida and travelling to Athens. If Chubb is healthy, he's the best RB we'll play this season. And I suspect Smart will have his defense ready to play. They may be in desperation mode like we were this past season, coming off of a probable-loss against Ole Miss.

And while Bama's schedule is tough, they almost always dominate that first neutral site game. LSU is after a BYE, Ole Miss is after WKU (another BYE pretty much), Arkansas is after Kentucky (another BYE pretty much), and then us. I honestly think their game in Neyland will be the most difficult/lose-able on their schedule. Perfect time to prove that we're back.

I'm so ready to beat UF and Bama that it physically hurts me

I wonder who Coach G is talking to in his tweet this morning. He said something about being your turn to continue what other have began.... It's directed to an instate kid since he says your state.

Couple of schedule notes....

Georgia travels to Ole Miss this year. Hopefully the black bears can help us out here.

Florida travels to Arkansas in early November. Nice to see the Gators play a game that might actually have some cold weather. I'm hoping for a night game with freezing rain.

Just heard on the radio that the cheapest ticket available for the Super Bowl is $3,000. And that is for a nosebleed seat.

Who in the world can afford that? I mean, other than an Ole Miss recruit, of course...

that's crazy. I would like to attend one super bowl in my life but not at that price. this is exactly why the super bowl atmopshere blows. nothing but a corporate environment because the average fan doesn't have 10 grand to throw down for a football game

Much rather watch the game on a big HDTV with friends and booze

Quotes like this make it a little more serious than a spoiled kid acting poorly

Usually don't agree with clay but he is spot on

He had a bad stretch (about 10 quarters or so), other than that he did his job, and didn't make many mistakes before that. People on TV were talking about how horrible he was, I think the play calling is not how I would do things especially early in the year. The problem was the defense was not up to par and so Les didn't want to chance turnovers early in the year. So, once LSU was put into a position to throw against tough West teams, well, it was like throwing him into the fire.

I would take Chad Kelly, but other than that I didn't really see any QB really light it up all year at all... heck Texas A&M is dropping them faster than they can recruit them. No slice of pie in the SEC West, Harris is just going to have improve some and battle, its not about looking pretty.

I like both Tennessee and LSU's chances to be meeting up even if Elmer Fudd is playing QB.

We'll see how you guys do. No matter how good your defense is, sooner or later you'll have a big game where your QB has to make some plays.

I pulled the stats on him and Dobbs and passing wise they're pretty much twins. Dobbs has a higher completion % and a lot more rushing yards but outside of that all their stats are similar. Anyway, thought it was interesting.

Harris to me play well other than the 2-3 game stretch in the SEC West. Harris has to improve but not drastically, his short passing game is not good, if he can improve there than that helps in getting first downs. For the most part, the defense was unable to get the other team off the field even against very week opponents early in the season. Unless they played Harris on defense, the three losses were going to occur.

What has hurt Harris is this is only his 4th year playing football, and he really only got a few games under his belt his freshman year. He never even took a snap under center until he came to LSU, which probably runs 50% of their plays under center. If you are looking for yardage stats, LSU is never going to have a ton of those, its about being efficient.

Harris needs to improve, he had a bad stretch against some tough opponents, but he doesn't need to be Tom Brady. I would probably only take Chad Kelly over Harris going into next season.... let me give you a hint... the SEC West is not QB friendly. I think you watch too much TV, I mean for years people keep on saying how great TAM and Tech Texas QB systems are.... they look like junior high school systems as soon as they play SEC West teams, generally.

If you are relying on your QB to win the SEC West, well, chances are its not going to work out for you.

LSU is going to be tough to handle even if the waterboy suits up at QB this year, any SEC West team that lost 3 games with 18-19 returning starters is going to be ranked very high.

I don't think you read my subsequent post. And you misunderstood me. I understand what LSU does, and what they need from their QB. Harris has to improve against those same big opponents this year, or you will be shut down again. I think, for the reasons you posted, that he will. I think LSUs defense, as it always is, is the key to your success this year. You've already got great talent on defense, now you have a really good coach too. LSU should live up to that rank.

We will win the East and have a very good chance of winning in the SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME and go to the playoffs if Dobbs can improve his passing game we won't beat Bama or LSU without the threat of the deep ball, its that simple we still can go 10 and 2 but if Dobbs improve on his Medium to deep passing we could win the NC IN 16. GO VOLS BUCK BAMA:pepper:

Sorry, rereading my post, I sound quite the jerk, not intended. I didn't mean to marginalize your comments, and it kind of sounds like that is what I did. :peace2:

I'm fine with how Harris played, it wasn't always good, sometimes it was not good at all, but that is kind of how its going to be in the West especially a first starter. You should have seen Metts first year, not really pretty at times.... I actually said Landry and Beckham needed to be put down to second string.... drop passes. What they all needed was time, and working together.

The problem with Brandon is his short passing game, he's got to get it together, get his percentage up to high 50s at least. His deep ball is pretty decent, he needs to make reads faster as well.

Basically when it comes down to it he has to play real good against Bama, other than that, not sure its going to matter too much.

I apologize again for my comments, I think they sounded kind jerky in hindsight, and not what was intended.... I get what you are saying, I'm not saying you are wrong.
