August is going to be a stressful month around here. After last fall camp, it will be terrifying waiting on updates after each practice. Hope the coaches identify and retool whatever drill it was that caused Marcus Jackson and Austin Sanders to lose their seasons last year.

I've said the same and I completely agree. Also if Martin was healthy then, we would be 10-2 or better

How about LT though? We have an unproven Richmond and behind him an underperforming Blair. That is an area I'm not sure of

If Richmond can't take the reigns, I'd bet they put Hall on the left side and put Kendrick on the right. I just can't see Blair actually depended on to contribute.

I thought it more had to do with Shoop talking about his familiarities. The dude lived in Tennessee for three years and all 3 were in Nashville. He and his family called Nashville home, he worked there, he recruited a lot in the area, he spent most of his time there. It's like asking Butch what he likes about the state as a whole and him saying Knoxville over and over.

That makes a lot of sense too.

Either way, I think its insane to have the guy running Vandy in 12 months.

Don't forget new policy, no injury updates.

We may not receive the info like last fall camp.

IIRC, Jackson's wasn't even on a contact drill. Just a freak accident basically.

Sad image of RG3 packing up his stuff in Washington. Oh, what could have been...

Still think RG in Seattle with last year's OL would have been better than Russell with that awful OL they had to scrape together from paying so much for a QB.

It doesn't say.

Anyway I don't think the guy took this job to get the Vandy job but I think he would very likely take it if offered

IMO Mason will survive there for 2-3 years. think Vandy will give him 4-5 years total because his defense is so good. This will be year 3.

If he does get let go, I am pretty sure Vandy will go Offense focused. That will be Mason's downfall. Schools tend to make the hire that will fix that side of the ball that is struggling badly.

I never said which injury :)

He did though so that would mean he wasn't right. He specified knee/leg injury. He jumped the gun before MRI. North played day 1. Then Dobbs left him out to dry for 2nd time and got his back crushed again. They need to quit throwing that route to him. Clearly DBs are targeting his lower back area on it. North needs to be thrown a damn deep ball, Slant, post something

I've never understood the whole 4-3,3-4 thing. If the man is a quality minded defensive coach, shouldn't he be able to run either defense? I know DEs are a bit bigger in the 3-4 but if I'm a DC proving I could be effective running either defense would be something I want on my resume.

Dude was a POS. Ended Steve Youngs career because he was mad about not getting the ball and didn't pick up the blitz. He proved he was based on actions that got him in jail. No sympathy here

I get that. Just sad he wasn't different and even more sad he didn't change apparently

It's a pretty big difference between the two schemes.

Most coaches spend their entire careers teaching one system. There are exceptions, but that's generally how it works.
