If Richt and McElwain both wanted him, it's a good thing.

It sounds like we're trading a bit of coaching need for a boost to recruiting. I think a QB coach would have been a better coaching hire since Debord has the TE background, but this guy fills a coaching hole and adds a recruiter to the ranks.

I'm not saying he's not a good position coach (I have no idea), but I felt like the QBs needed more than the TEs from a new guy.

He developed Watford really well from a few Canes' fans' perspectives

Bring in a recruiter now, before NSD and then when more turnover occurs closer to or after NSD promote Sheridan to QBC

Hyams on Nashville radio this morning said Sutton mostly had round 2 grades except one round 1 grade. Hyams thinks he stays at UT.

Hyams also thinks JRM and Kamara stay at UT. He said he wasn't 100% on any of them though.

Hope all of them stay. Top 10 defense potentially possibly top 5. Kamara/Hurd will be that much better next year, unstoppable offense, IMO.

I wonder who gets to be ST coord. Z or G are the 2 that come to mind but they both have another title already in addition to their positions.

Azzani makes more sense from the current makeup since Gillespie is Recruiting Coordinator.

Obviously, that could change dramatically with a simple shuffle of titles. It also sounds like the coaching changes aren't fully settled.

Yes. I wonder how big of a role Gattis played in developing Jordan Matthews.

Mathews, Krause, and that other receiver (can't remember his name) were all being developed really well. I'm assuming he played a big part in that

He just had a 3rd Rd draft pick at TE in Walford with Raiders and did a good job as interim HC. He has to have some coachin chops.

Any recruits on our radar from that area that this guy can help swing last minute?

Looks like hes the lead recruiter for Ahmmon Richards who is coming in for a visit on the 29th.

Also wonder what contact he had with Mecole when he visited Miami etc and if there is anything there.

Bring us Shoop and Gattis and let's ride

Where did the Gattis stuff come from? I saw Shoop acknowledged by mods etc but seemed like Gattis was a random name fans threw in there along with the rumor. He wasn't a fan of us while at Vandy but I know that was part of his job too and probably at order of Jimmy frank. He got into some Twitter spats with our fanbase

Continuity from a coaching standpoint is great but making changes like this every couple of years is equally important. Need new recruiting pitches and new blood on the staff to keep things fresh. Just nice to be in a position where we are able to pull highly coveted assistants.

So since we picked up Larry Scott doesn't that mean all of our position coach spots are filled? That means Sheridan has to stay a GA, right?

Sebastian Tretola on the SEC: when you get the offer from any SEC school, it means something.

For those who say all SEC teams don't benefit from the SEC being dominant.

It's that musical chair time of year. Just hold your horses and wait until the music stops. Doubt Elder/Scott is the last coaching change.

Sheridan has already done the max GA years allowed. He has to get a full time job somewhere whether that's here or somewhere else. I guess he could maybe do quality control or something like that and still be around if he doesn't find a job elsewhere

One of the Nittany Lions guys that posted said he may bring assistants and I could definitely be wrong, but I thought he mentioned Gattis. It is more or less wishful thinking, but he would be an upgrade. So, if he wasn't mentioned, I'm a fan throwing his name out there lol

Ya'll, harbaugh is building a friggin monster.

Favorite to land Gary, and now speculation that Little is taking a visit there so they can go to school together.
