Trying not to get my hopes up but seems like some discussions have had to have taken place for Hubbs to even mention the 3 yrs at more than a million per.

I am trying not to get my hopes up too but it does appear some discussions have taken place and the issue is the 3 year deal which Hart has never done. I guess he would have to make an exception here... I had no issues with Jancek but this would be an exceptional hire! Hope Butch can get Dave to have a change of heart no pun intended if that's the only issue...

Why are you getting mad over something that might not have been taking place anyway? Do we really know for sure if there was plans to get rid of our current DC and bring in a new one? Do you not like Jancek?

Agree with all of this. I dont have a problem with Jancek either but if you can make this kind of upgrade its a no brainer. I would be very upset if everything was/is lined up and Hart blocked it over something silly.

Man, this place won't be the same without Curt around.

True ambassador for the program. Just as nice off the field as he seems, too. Hard to find a more personable athlete.

Thanks for everything Curt. You'll be missed.

To summarize

1. manny Diaz was hired as Miami's DC

2. Looking like there are some snags in contract stuff with shoop.

3. Curt Maggit not coming back

4. Hurd is transferring

5. Still waiting to hear on Cam/Kamara/JRM

6. Jancek isn't considered the leading candidate for any other jobs.

7. Some smoke that we may steal PSU's WR coach as well, but not sure if there is fire there.

Moved this since the game thread seems dead. 😁



Got back home late last night.

I was hoarse from screaming, exhausted from the 16 hour bowl experience after sleeping 4 hours the night before...











And I couldn't have been happier. We crushed NW on the field and off. Soon as we hit I4 it felt like a home game. They had no answer for the Sea of Orange. It was a complete dismantling of their team. Evan's pick six was just the last wave to slam over them. The team celebrating with the fans and singing Rocky Top after the game was glorious! 100% satisfaction with yesterday, perfect way to start 2016. My only complaint is having to wait so long for the season to start again! GO BIG MOTHER EFFING ORANGE!!! WE'RE BACK, BUTCHES, AND YOU AIN'T READY!!!

Just so you know. I hate Bama and Florida and can't pull for them. Some of the Miss State's ect that we don't go up against much do not really matter. If we win, we will get ours. With that said, you are correct about it being idiotic to quibble about spelling other errors. We are all Vols! Well, most of us except Cat friends. GBO:)

Hart needs to start spending money, but he is cheap.
