SEC chooses the bowl.
Florida could go to Peach Bowl, LSU to Outback, Georgia to Taxslayer/Belk
I guarantee because of the tentative home and home with UM the city won't burn that bridge with UF. It's been discussed at length on UF sites already. The Mayor has already started backing UF. Better get your Outback tix.
We don't get excited because we have 8 wins, we get excited because we had 5, then we had 7 and now we have 8, possibly 9. G*****n right we're excited because we are FINALLY on the way back up after being at the bottom.
The encouraging thing about Butch on gameday is that he really seemed to learn from the mistakes early in the year as the season went on. Nothing was evident of that more than him going for it on the goal line against Vandy last Saturday, and even though he didn't get it (ARrggghhhhh Jalen fumbling at the goal-line stupid shotgun formation asfd;kajsdf;lkjasf) it paid off. I hope he realizes had he done that at Oklahoma, and that is a different game.
I am telling all you guys that the Bowl doesn't have the final say. Sure, they try to provide input, but the SEC office sets the matchups. I live in Memphis, and it is known that the Liberty officials did not get who they wanted last year. In fact, I don't think A&M was even in their top 3.
Hearing that Cut is getting a look at both USCe and UGA.
Would hate to see him in the SEC. He would do really well.
Got a text from a friend.
Just in from Athens......
Smart could be a done deal. His agent is contacting a few other coaches. Only 3 current coaches are going to be asked to stay. Running backs coach, tight ends coach, and Pruitt. Rest are gone. The OC from Ole Miss is Smart's first choice for that position. The AD told Schottenheimer that he wasn't going to be retained a month ago. His house is on the market and if not sold by March 1st UGA will buy it for a set price. Richt wanted to leave next season, but Smart was leaving Bama this year so it was all pushed a year up. Richt is going to stay on as an assistant to the AD mainly running the Paul Oliver Foundation. He is not going to work in daily football operations. Will mainly focus on the other sports. Richt is still going to recruit and coach thru bowl game and then Smart takes over. So far all the recruits that have committed are staying and two linemen that were going to Bama are headed to the Dawgs.
