UF will beat UGA

I think so too. Wonder if the 3rd string QB for Georgia is gonna play any good. It's kinda like starting Sheriron, hypothetically, and I wouldn't doubt if he would top shabby out there. Hope we can keep most of these QBs around. I guess if we start winning big we will be just like Ohio State and USCw in having elite QBs waiting for their turn.

Fun thought:

Say UGA wins tomorrow, then both UF and UGA lose next week, we win out, and whatever else has to happen for us to win the east.

Rematch against Bama in ATL... Who has the advantage? Bama getting a chance to show their strength, or Vols knowing they have what it takes to compete and win, after winning 5 straight?

Not expecting it to happen, but fun to consider.

That scenario is actually all that would have to happen for us to win the east. It's still a lot, but college football is crazy, and sometimes the unthinkable happens. I guarantee you this...the west champion does not want to see the team on the other sideline dressed in orange and white. This team coming off a 5 win stretch could be scary against anyone. We are anyways.

Time to load the truck up for some ga vs fl tailgating. Let's hurry this game up so I can listen to the first quarter on the radio and watch the rest when I get home.

Joshua Dobbs has made some amazing passes, like to Josh Smith in the endzone. But you are choosing to overlook screen passes that were behind the RB or passes to the flat that were far enough off the mark for the receiver to look like an idiot trying to make the play. I'm not arguing that he is always inaccurate. I'm arguing that he is inconsistently accurate. I've seen QD throw two passes this year that looked nothing like the passes Dobbs throws. One went deep to Josh Malone in the spring game and landed in his hands in stride. The other went to Preston Williams against Bowling Green, I believe. How many completions has Dobbs made that receivers had to make a play on the ball and could not get yards after the catch because the throw was off, behind, high, etc.

I'm not going to keep this argument going any longer, but I think you are choosing not to see the truth because of your bias. I was hoping for civil, reasoned conversation about where accuracy would outweigh mobility.

I expected to see Dobbs passing game develop a lot more this year, since he had the benefit of taking all first team snaps in the Spring and in Fall camp, plus all the game experience thus far. But, as big of a Dobbs fan as I have been, I have to admit, I've seen him struggle at times and it hurt the offense, demonstrably. Even without a defender in his face, he has made some throws that make you think WTH?

Nevertheless, he has come up big at various points, even putting the team on his shoulders. I too, just wish he could be like that a majority of the time, not 1/3 or 1/2 of the time. I think much of that is just the natural shell shock QB's get when they are routinely pressured in the pocket. Their mind is more focused on the defender than it is on their targets downfield.

Hopefully, during this 5 game stretch, the OL can handle themselves better than they have with defenses like OU, UF and Bama's. They still are the weak link in this program. It's possible Debord may have messed with his mechanics too much, as well. If given time to set his feet in the pocket and make accurate throws, Dobbs passing game may finally develop the way we thought it would. It's hard to do going through such a gauntlet, with a shaky OL.

If I were Debord, I would use this stretch to emphasize the deep passing game. We haven't gotten that going at all this year. Run, run, run...then run some more. Then when you have a 2nd and 1 or so, hit their arse deep, using North, Malone, Williams and Jenning's size to snare the jump balls.

Huge qd supporter. And yes dobbs is very inaccurate especially when u loom at percentages of throws 15 yards or less and numbers are still this bad

Many many a hot coach has ridden the tails of a solid veteran class left by the guy he replaced. Few coaches have built a "program" out of ashes and lived to tell the tale.

Cutcliffe is doing it, Spurrier did several times...The Program does have to have some patience and not expect National Championships immediately.

From my POV, Butch got a mess, and he's building it back to a winning program.

Boy I hope our team isn't thinking today is going to be as easy as our fans do.

Teams record after they play Bama is jaw dropping low.

I see a white knuckler nailbiter today.

Very nervous with so much to lose

This game is only close if Kentucky can stop the run. Can they?

No they can't and that's why I think we pull away slightly and win in the end by 7-10.

I think they will score. Game
Going way over the total of 56.

Teams 22-25 after playing Bama. It's always just a tough spot it seems

Clay travis is like the Irs. No one Is immune to his fury and he is making a nice living off of hate

Most of us would love to make 6 figures and talk about sports, good tv shows, and crazy internet things for a living. As a writer I'd take much less than what he makes to do what he does.

Yep but he is one of the few that got there by hate. He parlayed making people mad into a career. I am surprised fox has hired him and his and his antics and vulgarity. Follow him on twitter and you will see how vulgar he is

This is my first away game. Is there any type of vol walk at away games? Thanks and GBO!!

Won't be anything official but more than likely they'll be a scattering of Vol fans hanging out near the team buses as they unload. I can't remember where they enter at up there though.

I do follow him on Twitter. He is vulgar, but just like there are vulgar comics and vulgar tv shows that are successful, he manages to do it. I don't know that he's the first vulgar sports commentator naturally, but he is by far the most successful. People do much worse things every day for far less.

And you can tell by how he writes he's still a Ut fan deep Down, we just haven't been relevant for too long.
