I prefer what Saban and yes, Butch Jones do--building the team from ground up with top recruits and establishing a winning culture.. Butch may be taking a bit longer but we see the team is obviously improving.

I would say it's a negative for a coach to start out winning a lot, sets expectations way to high that they might never be able to continue in the short term.

I would really like to see all the work on the oline produce huge holes for Hurd and he runs for 200+ each game. He gets the tough yards and not the recognition of some of the other SEC RB's and really deserves it.

Agreed. He also had a much, much better surrounding cast. You cant just pick out one stat to judge a QB.

Many many a hot coach has ridden the tails of a solid veteran class left by the guy he replaced. Few coaches have built a "program" out of ashes and lived to tell the tale.

I'm going to be working at one of the largest liqour stores in the entire state-- McScrooge's Wine and Liqour-- starting soon. Pretty hype for this.

Fun thought:

Say UGA wins tomorrow, then both UF and UGA lose next week, we win out, and whatever else has to happen for us to win the east.

Rematch against Bama in ATL... Who has the advantage? Bama getting a chance to show their strength, or Vols knowing they have what it takes to compete and win, after winning 5 straight?

Not expecting it to happen, but fun to consider.

I hope so. Seeing Bama shut out of the SECCG and the playoffs won't be as good as seeing UT beat them... but if that happens and we win out, it will be an excellent finish for the orange team.

Hurd was wide open after he chip blocked on the second to last sack in the Bama game. He also took the sack instead of trying the corner throw to where only his guy could catch it in the first half.

QB's are going to miss guys, but as we know, one play can be the difference between a win or a loss. There have also been missed opportunities by other offensive players.

I did that in college in the 90's. Greatest job. So easy to pick up women. Explaining varieties of wine or liquor to women was so much fun. They loved it and ate up whatever I was spewing out about chard's, cab's, zin's, tequilas, scotch, etc.. It was a blast. And giving out wines or liquors to friends and families for birthdays or Xmas is always a good gift. Enjoy it! And shoot a lot of mini's...

Please cite the game and minute of action. I've conceded the first half of Georgia was miserable. But Josh was really good all game against Alabama.

I'm about to watch the Alabama game for a 3rd time tonight. I was gonna focus on the d-line and McKenzie. But if you can cite to me all the passes Dobbs missed I'd love to agree with you.

When Dobbs plays bad I don't make excuses for him. He was HORRIBLE against Arkansas and the first half of Georgia. Oklahoma was a game I thought he played bad before watching the game again. Other than the Arkansas game and the first half of Georgia, he's been good to great given the lack of pass protection and receivers getting separation.

I expect to see Jalen's yards per game and yards per carry to go up over the course of the stretch run, but his carries may go down slightly. With the patchwork status and injuries to our offensive line, drive blocking still is not their collective forte. Jalen's power and ability to generate yards after contact have been particularly critical against the stout defenses we've played during the first half of the season. I would expect that to change some as we take on less imposing defensive fronts down the stretch. Consequently, I believe that we will see Alvin Kamara toting the pigskin a good bit more in some of the forthcoming games. Hopefully, the Alabama game also signifies a growing reliance upon Kamara as a pass receiver, for he led all Tennessee receivers in receptions (4) and yards receiving (44).

I would also expect him to see more playing time next year as our offensive line improves with additional experience, time in the strength and conditioning program, gets injured members healed and newcomers, such as Drew Richmond, work into the rotation. If there is a silver lining to the way in which Kamara has been used thus far, it should be that he, hopefully, will return for his fourth year of eligibility. He simply has not distinguished himself sufficiently to enter the NFL Draft early.

Really Really pulling for UGA tomorrow. It gives the rest of the season much more meaning. We're in it until we're out of it.

Really good all game? He should've had 4 interceptions.

Look, I'm really pro Dobbs too. He should be our guy until he graduates. But you're letting your pro-Dobbs bias get in the way when you say that you don't remember Dobbs having any bad throws in any of our games. Even to a casual observer, it's clear that Dobbs is not consistent with his passing accuracy. And it's not all on his receivers and OL. Even with a clean pocket and receivers running good routes, he misses on some easy throws or gives the WRs nothing to work with occasionally. It's like you're the only one who doesn't see it.

Either your bias is in the way, you're full of BS when you talk about watching the games 2-3 times each, or you're trolling.

It's all about getting the guys the ball on time. We haven't been doing it. Has nothing to do with us recruiting "pro style WRs"

McScrooge's is great! I imagine that would be a fun place to work. Next time I go there should I just ask for Mock?

The first potential INT was a d-lineman hitting his hand and the ball floating on him. Are you really gonna hold that against him? The last one was on our final drive and he was forcing a ball to make a play. Not great but I forgive those cause it's more about poor decision making than inaccuracy. I will concede the potential INT that was dropped by Minkah Fitzpatrick was a poor decision. Dobbs shouldn't have forced that ball on a roll out. Same with the potential pick broken up by Jauan.

I guess this shows the difference between your criticism of Josh and my views. I will agree with you if you're arguing Josh makes poor decisions with the ball sometimes. Thats typical of many QBs. Hell some of the best ever were gunslingers that forced the ball into bad situations. However, I don't hear QBs like Brett Favre or Eli Manning get pegged as inaccurate for throwing tons of interceptions. I don't hear calls for them to change positions. When they throw picks or poor passes it's labeled poor decision making. However when other QBs make the same mistakes, it's because they're athletes playing QB that can't throw.

Let me ask you this. Do you label every QB that throws near picks inaccuate?
