This is a really weird place to be as a Vols fan. If this is true and Butch gets fired, it could mean doom for this season. Oh wait. This season is already doomed.

It could also mean that we have 6 months to make a great hire.

Something definitely happened idk to what extent or how bad, but it makes sense as to why those guys were allowed to lay out of practice and come back with no discipline or so it seemed.

Because Butch was scared that Mack would make a big deal about it IMO and those guys were Mack's good friends

Trust me, helicopter parenting is every bit as bad in college these days as it is in grade schools. I honestly don't know what's happened with this latest set of parents but you see a lot more stuff you would expect to see in K-12. It really started happening about 5-6 years ago whereas you never saw it before then (not like it is now anyway).

Yeah that makes more sense now. It seemed out of character for him to let them skip practice and then they come back and are starters.
