IDT the season is lost. Redemption is ours for the taking. If we can beat Arky and UGA, play Bama competitively, then win out, we could go 9-3 and possibly win the SECE (or at least be #2 in the East and Top 5 in the SEC).

We need to play angry. Shouldn't be hard. Anybody who isn't POd after last weekend isn't in touch with their anger. Take out some aggression on the Hogs and put the game away early. If the team needs motivation, show them that Joe Adams punt return from 2011. It would be great to see Evan Berry or Kamara deliver some payback on that.

Where exactly are we right now? We're still 2-2. We would have been 2-2 with just about anyone coaching this team, including Dooley.

The way DD's recruiting was trending, I'm not convinced we would have beat BG, and both UF and OU wouldn't have been close.

Recruiting took a dive when Dooley checked out early. He knew it wasn't going to work out after UK 2011, then when UF 2012 validated it, he stopped putting in the effort. I'm sure he would have preferred not to fail so spectacularly, but he wanted out-- with a "Thanks for nothing" bonus of $5M. The man's still costing us.

Thinking about getting a custom Miami dolphin jersey. Should I get a Finkle or an Einhorn one?

If you don't get it then gtfo

Bingo. With Sal's defense we would have given up 50+ to that offense. I know we should be 4-0 right now...I get it. I'm just saying who expected us to be 2 plays away from that record to start season 3 under Butch, and 2 of those games be UF and OU. No one would have expected those results with what Butch inherited. I know there are some glaring concerns, but I still feel like we are way ahead of schedule with this rebuild. Hope our boys can put a huge game together Saturday night, dominate the hogs, and get some positive mojo for next week.

Okay I'm back. I've watched this game 3 times now.

Justin Martin needs to start.

Moseley and Foreman need to be benched based solely on their effort on the 4th and 14 play. I would bet money Martin would've at the least broke on the pass.

Dobbs passing is severely overblown. Coaches need to let the dude get in a rhythm. The end of the game he looked good dropping dimes in there to WRs.

Kamara needs more touches. He ran very physical in his limited touches.

Darrin Kirkland improved as the game went on. Coaches need to let the man roll with the job.

Hurd is the second best back in the SEC behind Fournette. I'd love to see him with Chubb's blocking.

Randolph doesn't need to start at safety. McNeil and TKjr are much better playmakers.

Wolf needs to be used more. He's a mismatch/security blanket for Dobbs.

Overall our coaches have got to do better but our players have got to make plays. Foreman and Moseley were waiting on the other guy to make a play. Randolph took another horrid angle. Ridiculous for a 5th year player.

I suspect this is why he prepares for every possible circumstance beforehand. That is, he knows he's not good at processing information / making decisions on the fly.

Yep, its analysis paralysis man. Its easy to overthink yourself - I manage scientists and you can watch it happen in slow motion. Otherwise smart people can sometimes not deal with a rapidly evolving situation well. Orthogonal skill sets.

Its somewhat related to the common perception about Dobbs. High intelligence does not mean not mean he has the ability to diagnose a play as it develops and may mean hes more inclined to key into a receiver on pre-snap reads. That said I would expect his ability to read a defense and adjust to unexpected looks would be great - so let him do it!

Hes solid with the ball in his hands though - very elusive and intuitive. Just does not see defenders that are not in his direct line of sight sometimes.

Besides Barnett, who on the dline is getting the most push?

Can't disagree with anything in this post.

16 points = 2 TDs + 2 Two point conversions
3 points = FG
19 points = Bama's most likely top end point total based on the game situation at the time of decision. The worst case appeared to be a tie. 20 points gains nothing.

I know the math. The point I'm trying to make is that his chart told him to go for 1 at that point and it was the right decision. Nevertheless, had their defense not stepped up on Bama's last drive, then they lose by one.

I love your resiliency BB.

If a thermonuclear war broke out the only things left would be roaches, twinkies, and you. And after a couple days you'd be making etchings on cave walls talking about how UT is gonna whip some ass.

You are easily in my top ten favorite posters

Dunno if it's injuries, added weight, or just having faster guys around him, but Randolph looks way slower than he used to.

We have some incredible talent in spots but our lack of depth in the 4th quarter is a talent issue. I too believe the talent argument has been overstated. OU had equal talent by recruiting rating and Florida is a state with deep, deep talent. That we are competitive and discussing adjustments for victory is a compliment of what Jones is doing. The more I think about it the more I like the way he is building. We're just not quite there yet.

Hear, hear! After reading Butch's comments from today I too began to second guess my criticisms of Butch and his management. He's stubborn, meticulous, and enough of a perfectionist that he might just have what it takes to bring the University of Tennessee Football program back to dominance. Us fans, we might be a little overzealous and a little too eager in our expectations. Coupled with comments from some of the other coaches where ownership was taken, the gut is starting to whisper to me, "2-2 might just be the best place we should be, heading into this three game stretch." Those young men are building an understanding for what it takes to win.

I agree BB. I've been saying for a while that Dobbs can throw the ball. Dobbs' issues are between his ears. He's not learning how to be a QB. He doesn't read defenses. He doesn't know how to get out of bad plays, he can't predict which wide receivers will be open pre-snap. Now is it his coach or is he not mentally capable. Well he's a rocket scientist so......

Kinda funny that Dobbs rarely throws into a lot of coverage. I could see if he threw into coverage a lot but he makes the right read a lot of times. The line doesn't pass block well so when does he have time to scan the field? Why is it that late in games when he's asked to throw he's always on the mark? He can throw and it's nothing wrong with him. Coaches need to start letting him throw and stop just running the ball to death. Our running game will really gash people of they start attacking teams early on downs with these WRs.

Very intrigued to see how this team responds this week. Very hard game to predict IMO

If the kids love playing for their coaches and believe in them we could very easily win this in a very big way.

If the kids like many here have lost faith in the staff then we could very easily get blown out.

Not sure what to expect but with as many stories of kids contemplating quitting, missing practices, and all the transfers leaving unexpectedly I won't surprise me if this team shows us they aren't willing to fight for their coache.

This is not what is happening in the actual locker room.
