I really believe we were so close to a 10-2 type year. That would have assumed a loss to GA.

I agree. I didn't think we could go 10-2 but it's easy to see now we certainly could have gotten there.

Problem is now the mental side of things is a big worry. Losing the lockerroom could easily happen especially if Saturday goes poorly.

There is a finer line between 5-7 and 10-2 than I would have ever imagined but it's possible we are 2-5 in a few weeks

Is that what the word is? I was curious what it ended up being

Per fingers practice update thread in the FF. Also the coordinators seemed a little more honest and humble than butch. Fans aren't asking for a head. They are asking for an apology and a guilty plea. They are asking for the recognition so we can at least have faith for the future. That's it. Really glad the coordinators stepped up.

Why do we keep repeating this fallacy of 'going conservative' in the 2nd half? Like we threw the ball around in the 1st half and then stopped? We were running the ball effectively. It worked. We scored plenty of points. We had a 17 play drive IN THE 2ND HALF that was almost all running plays and ended with a TD. So when we come out on offense in the next possession we should not have confidence to call running plays and expect that we can get 1st downs? You know like we have been doing the entire game. We ran for 254 yards on offense, against a very good defense, on the road, with no passing threat. We did NOT lose the game because of conservative play calling in the 2nd half.

Because once again, no adjustments were made to counteract what the opponent did.
gators start field blitzing and we continue to do the same power .
As well a we were running the ball, a PA pass every now and again on 1st down or a manageable 2nd down would not only keep the opponent honest, we could get big chunks of yardage, even score

Wow, Maty Mauk! The OBC might end up beating Mizzou and shutting the door on their season after all. If we hadn't lost to UF, the UT-UGA game would be huge.

I would love a PA TE seam route or a 9 route on man coverage when it feels like we are about to blow out the opponent. 1st down call just let it go. We do that up 20-7 instead of run Dobbs, we get 6 I'm sure of it.

We had the most impressive drive I have seen a Tenn team have in a long time pretty much at the end of the of the game

The 3 plays we didn't get a first down stand to be scrutinized by why on earth are we complaining about what happened before that?

We surpassed any pregame expectation in offense

It's still a big game.

LOL, of course it is :eek:lol: Fans writing off this season already.

UGA loses to Bama, and we beat ARK, this thing is all kinds of interesting next week.

UGA still has to play FL, and we can hope Auburn gets on track and beats them too.

For that matter, even if UGA wins this week, as long as we win too, we would have our destiny in our hands if we beat UGA, for at least two weeks anyways. Ha

* this is also assuming Florida will lose at least two sec games, which is a pretty safe assumption.

I think we have a better shot against Bama than we do against GA.
