also helps that teams worry about dobbs running and the lanes are huge for the RBs. Another plus is actually playing OL where they are meant to play. Thomas was a monster at Center like everyone has been saying. Dylan is a good run blocking guard. He is not a center lol.

it would bc of OUs new system and how awful they were trying to run behind a new Line last night.

BGs DL is undersized, but so was UTC last year. We did what we should have and the line looked pretty nasty. Lots of holes, good protection besides the one busy in coverage early on.

Thoughts on Deboard? I think for a vanilla game plan he seemed to respond with good play calls on down and distance to put us in a position to succeed. I also liked the fact that I could count the number of bubble screens on 1 hand as opposed to the way it used to be. I know it was only game 1 but I'm thinking definite upgrade.

Thomas looked great. Kendrick has some underrated athleticism. Thomas was a beast though on those plays where he was pulling out as the lead man. He was killing guys. Amazing that 6'6 300+ can move like that. Dylan was solid as well.

CANNOT understand those complaining about the passing game. 15-22 68% for 200+ yds, 2 TD's and 0 Int's. If Malone doesn't drop the TD and Pearson's doesn't get called back, it's more like 74% almost 300 yds and 4 TD's. Pretty efficient iyam. And if your top 2 RB's are getting around 300 yds and 5 TD's, what more could you ask for. Yes, it seems there was a TD to North that he didn't see and I'm sure there's a couple throws he'd like to have back. But overall, I'd say it was a pretty dang good first game for Dobbs and the passing game.

Thought the OL looked better than at any point last year too. Offensively, my only concern is wether or not a lot of those perimeter type runs will be as effective against UGA, UF, et al.

That's the thing that stuck out from the Army AA game last year. Looks like a missile.

Was looking a the MAC media day predictions and Bowling Green got 18 of the 24 first place votes for the MAC East. They play Maryland next then their schedule looks pretty easy with only Memphis being pretty decent. They play Purdue as well, but they are terrible. They could win 9 or 10 games this year.

I think we make a statement next saturday. The pass rush comes alive and the offense continues to roll plus the crowd causes OU to get rattled. We win by 2 touchdowns+

Great debut IMO. He saw early we could destroy them in the run game, and he just went after it, riding Hurd and Kamara to victory. We appeared much more physical and less finesse than the Bajakian era. A welcomed site.

We haven't seen much yet though. We will know a lot more about him and the rest of this team on Saturday. Can't wait.
