Interesting that Justin Coleman is listed as a key personnel loss but A.J. Johnson isn't.

not sure if any media would list A.J. for anything. covering their own asses i would think. even tho he was a key loss for our defense.

I can't imagine any other catalyst for this than Peyton telling them he was done.

Actually reports are that Fox and Elway haven't been on the same page for a while. He wanted more input on player selection and Elway wasn't happy about the collapses the last 3 years. Fox was seriously interested in leaving. It was an amicable separation and has no bearing on what Peytons doing. He's already meet with Elway and decided to wait a bit before deciding.

Another interesting question: After last night's matchup was the correct title game OSU vs TCU? I originally thought it was ORE vs TCU, but OSU certainly proved me wrong last night.

Possibly but then again no one really gives a F because the Big 12 decided not to have a conference championship and pretty much screwed themselves. Entirely possible without the playoff committee and under the old BCS system that neither Oregon nor OSU would have even been playing in the championship; it likely would've been Bama versus FSU and possibly would have resulted in another NC for Bama. :yuck:

Surprisingly, the AP's preseason top 5:

1. Florida State (57)
2. Alabama (1)
3. Oregon (1)
4. Oklahoma (1)
5. Ohio State

Edit: This is the 2014 preseason, not next year.

TCU reminds a little of UGA in 2008. The Dawgs were ranked #1 solely on the strength of a blowout bowl win against a mediocre Hawaii team and a nice final month. Totally overrated.

The Ole Miss team that TCU whooped was not the same team that beam Bama. It's Oline was in shambles and it was missing its best playmaker.

TCU is good, but FSU is the only of the top 4 teams it could have knocked off IMO. I wouldn't be surprised to see TCU come back to Earth in 2015.

I hate saying this but I think the NC was Bama vs OSU.

Me watching Bama lose that game, which was good, but it was to put OSU into the title game....

Kerbyson, Kyler
Maggitt, Curt

Randolph, Brian
Saulsberry, Trevarris
Weatherd, Chris

Some starters; several solid contributors.

Thank Goodness!!

No fat on that list at all. How many seasons, have we seen 50% of the list be guys who have never even contributed? This is a solid group of seniors. Good times next year.

I agree and some solid leaders in there as well. Good sign that the roster is truly turning around.

FWIW - As good as OSU's O was down the stretch, the D is what got them to and won the NC. They held Oregon to only 20 points after 4 ridiculous TO's. As angry as many have been over it, Bell played well and got the ring as well as avoided the mire of the Dools years. On the O side - just how valuable is it to run the ball well and have a mobile QB?! Which is the philosophy Butch has as well. Hats off to them. Don't care for them or many of their fans, but they got it done.

Seems like arky, ole miss and miss state will be taking a step back to at least some degree next season....

I would say bama too. But I have been thinking that for a few years but they somehow just keep reloading. I understand their classes have been high level. But surely there are some misses in there...goodness. So annoying.
