Did you expect the Oline to be as bad as it is, though? Cost us three games so far.

Not sure about Ron, but I actually expected the O Line to be this bad, based on the preseason reports (I was predicting 35+ sacks allowed, which is where we are). Still was awful to watch live. I thought 6 wins would be a very good year this year, based on the OL and youth. Glad we made it, barring total catastrophe this coming weekend.

I don't think I know what to expect for next year. I usually wait till after spring practice to make predictions. Right now, though, I lean towards being very optimistic. I think Dobbs is the real deal, and I expect the OL to improve significantly. But we'll see what the beat writers and others are saying after spring ball. If there are still OL concerns at that time, then I'll be worried.

@FootballScoop: There seems to be some buzz around twitter this afternoon that Florida has offered the job to Hugh Freeze.

Do you switch to the east when it is on the rise and the west appears to be evening out a bit?

If I am a wanted coach in college football and could be one of the highest paid coaches I would probably rather coach in FL than MS. The recruiting pool I could draw to FL IMO would be better. At this stage I think playing UGA, TN, and Mizzou would look better than having to beat AU, Bama, MSU, and LSU every year. If UF is serious and IMO it would take 5 million plus to hire him, I would probably take it no matter how much folks thought I loved MS.

I don't know who Florida will hire but I would bank on the coaching improvement to be monumental. The Muschamp experiment was a total failure for Foley. He will get this one right.

The most concerning thing to me is, so far, on the field results between Butch and Dooley are comparable. I'm a Butch fan and the last thing our University needs is another coaching change, but I'm still not sold on Butch's coaching or certain position coaches and coordinators.
Just for kicks and giggles, look at how many close games Dooley could have won: (2010) LSU and UNC; (2011) UF and Kentucky; (2012) Georgia, MSU, and SCar. This is why I don't take satisfaction in losing to Georgia by 3, UF by 1, Mizzou by 8. Bottom line is W's for me, and there isn't a very good reason why UT doesn't have (at the minimum) 2 more wins so far this year.

I agree. If they are willing to spend the cash, UF can hire a quality coach no doubt. IF they hire a guy like Freeze, you have to think a lot of those kids currently committed to Ole Miss would happily go with him to FL. Could get ugly.
