Phil better not screw us over..I know you really believe in him, but I don't. He screwed up a lot of stuff, and him letting UT slide when he had everything going for him is ultimately the reason we are in this mess.

Hindsight is 20 20. No way the last decade would’ve been as bad as it has been if Fulmer had been retained.

From my understanding, Fulmer did the legwork for both Gundy and Brohm but Currie couldn't seal the deal. Some speculate he didn't give full effort because those weren't "his guys". Fulmer did do most of the work with Doeren as well - but again, that was after Currie messed up the two guys he wanted.

I have a hard time believing Fulmer would hire Leach. One thing about Fulmer is he's part of that good old boy SEC club. I could see him bringing in Miles. I would be shocked if he brought in Steele as head coach. I think with Fulmer in as AD the job will be more attractive for other coaches. I don't think we should have been surprised at how these coaches have turned us down. They know when there's turmoil within a department. They know a lot more than we do. Fulmer will want to put his stamp on this and Currie had started the deal with Leach that probably hurts his chances.

Id be ok with miles as long as he doesnt overstay his welcome. Give him a 5 year deal to help rebuild us. Then give him a pat on the back,and go get the guy that going to win you rings
