Fulmer isn't putting his impossible victory on the line by hiring Steele or even Leach, IMO. He's going to get a sure thing. Not going to risk getting fired in 3-4 years and giving control back to the Haslams. Boosters won't allow it either.

We're going to see an all-in effort from boosters to go get the best possible coach now.

Tee Martin is a pipe dream. It's clear that no one in the AD or on the BOT wants Tee as a head coach. Just take him out of your minds.

I'll be honest. I don't see Fulmer as being a sea change from Haslam rule. I also don't trust Fulmer to have the skills and knowledge to run a whole athletic department. If it was just a football-centered job, then sure, but it's not. We do have functional baseball and basketball teams as well. People care about those. I'm hoping that Fulmer doesn't deliver us some stale package of former UT coaches, thinking that all the fans really want is some "Tennessee guy". We either shake the tree with 7 million a year to get a big catch, or just hire Miles and let's right the ship over the next 3 or 4 years.

Which is who?

Dude I'm pissed off about leach.

He doesn’t need to be in this league. Need recruiting, defense and the ability to run the football here.

Doesn’t matter anyway cause it ain’t happening. We ousted the Haslams today.

Feldman is working hard on behalf of John Currie and Mike Leach right now.

He is not to be trusted now. Leach and Butch buddy.

Leaking Currie’s side of this. Best to ignore these national guys. Heard today on TB referred to them as “long range snipers” who don’t know what is going on here.

Bruce Feldman said that Mike Leach wants to be here and is one signature away.

If Fulmer won't sign-off on Leach because he is not "his guy," then how does that make him any better than Haslam? I understand there may be better coaches out there than Leach, but it's not Gundy, Brohm or Sumerlin. Who you got? Gruden?

I'm sorry. I'm just frustrated.

I really wanted Leach. He's my favorite coach in all of college football, and I was this close to having a minor dream fulfilled. I want UT to throw the damn ball down the field. I'm tired of this power spread crap. If we're gonna lose, I'd rather go out in blaze of 60 yd tds than never scoring like this Jones team.

If it's true that Fulmer being AD is a sign that the HOH is over or depowered, then maybe Leach still has a shot. He wants to be here. That's more than I can say for most coaches.

If the money is there, it could be just about anyone. Hoping Fulmer sees the Bama model and knows that's the way we have to go to be successful. Offer huge money and control.

We offered 7 mill a year to Gundy. Money has not been a problem

Just waiting for the Beaver disciples to find some way to say how he's been right all along in this **** show the last two weeks...

I just don't see how you remove the Haslams. They literally were one of three people interviewing people for the AD job (according to Clay Travis). They have their hands in everything literally everything. I mean they were interviewing people for 1 of the top 3 jobs for Tennessee. They are best buds with Bev and Peyton.

I just feel like no matter what happens, The Haslams will always have control even if we hire Fulmer. This is so sad and depressing.

You are young. It’s ok you don’t know what is going on.

Excuse me if I don't really give a $hit about what people in Florida and Kentucky think about Tennessee football.

So you think it's a good thing when fans of other schools are extremely happy you didn't get a coach that almost all sane people knows is a good coach, who has performed miracles at some of the worst programs in Football? Then I don't give a crap what you think. He is not the only good coach out there however. Just don't hire some unwanted scrub like Steele. Get us a good coach, I don't care what his name is, one that brings feelings of dread and apprension to rivals
