Currie getting Leach's attention yesterday has probably brought a swarm of calls to him and his agent. That legitimized him as a candidate, IMO. He might have been already but I think some schools were wary about him. But the fact that UT went after him and got endless positive press means that someone is going to snatch him up now.

I wish I could say I’m angry at this point but I’m not. I’m sad.

I’m sad for the current players. They committed to give their all for Tennessee for the next 4-5 years in an attempt to better their lives. Their university has not given their all for them. Their university has let them down.

I’m sad for former players and alumni. This isn’t the UT they left behind and love. They care about this program and have put their blood sweat and tears into building what we once were only to see it all burn to the ground. Their university has let them down.

I’m sad for older Vol fans who may not ever see a successful UT AD for the remainder of their lives. They have invested their hard earned money and time into this place over the course of decades and in repayment have to watch this unfold in their later years. Their university has let them down.

I know it’s funny to the nation and we poke fun and post some funny gifs to deal with stuff that we really have no control over but this has hurt a lot of people in a very significant way. I just feel sad for those people at this time. Really sad. Sorry for the depressing post but it’s where I’m at right now. This sucks.

104.5 in Nashville is saying Jimmy Hyams said Phillip Fulmer would be named AD at 4. Doesn't know if permanent or interim.

This is truly a power cage match. Haslam and stooges against the boosters aligned with Fulmer. Whoever wins will shape athletics for a long time.

When 4:00 comes around if fulmer is named AD we know his camp won.

If Sigmond is named we know Haslam won.

If either is named interim, we know the slugfest is still under way.

I think either way it goes it will be under an interim tag. The slugfest won’t die today.
