Amen..93% of VN backed the Leach hire...I don't care the few idiots that didn't think. If we don't get Leach, then we are getting screwed. We will not get a top coach.
I've already stated that Leach should be 1st of the remainders but what I truly don't understand is why Steele should come before Tee. Sure, Tee isn't ready -- doesn't have the resume (yadda, yadda) but he has an enormous ceiling and with the right support he can reach it.
I'd rather roll with Tee and watch him grow than hire Steele knowing he's mediocre at best.
Bring Tee and Steele. I don't get it. Let Steele be his DC. This would help everyone. We get Tee, up and comer with a high ceiling with mentors Fulmer and Steele to help. He is also the best recruiter in the nation and a great OC. We get Steele, currently one of the best DC's in the nation and a top recruiter. Try and keep coach G and we have three elite recruiters. Or, if Tee would do it, bring him in as OC in waiting under Les and we have 4 of the best recruiters in the nation, a top OC, a top DC, a top RB coach, a national championship head coach, and we will stabilize this program and absolutely stock the cupboard full of talent. In 5 years, Les can retire, Tee can take over much more prepared, and bring on the championships. Seems easy if everyone would be on board. At this point, if Malzahn is going to Arkansas I'm sure Steele would rather be here than there. Especially under Fulmer and alongside Tee.
