Currie flying around to go meet with people for this job is ridiculous. We won't get a good coach doing that.

If a coach wants to be here they need to bring their wife and come to Knoxville. Give them a tour. Wine and dine them. This is Tennessee! This place is beautiful and there is so much to offer. To put that on Currie's shoulders to explain it all in a damn hotel room is just stupid.

Just a thought. But Currie is not good at this.

People dumping on a Mike Leach hire. Ridiculous. Look I agree on Schiano and Doeren etc but not being ok with Leach especially now is borderline absurd

Not sure there is sure proof. But it's clear it's a team effort. Helton was the OC and QB coach before becoming the head coach. If you google images, you will see Helton holding a play sheet in some of the games.

There is an article from late last year that states that Tee called plays on first and second down, Tyson Helton called the play if they have to pass on third down, and Clay Helton provides input.

Les Miles would be a heck of a lot of fun here in his 3-4 years. Would love to see him hit that clap he does every time Tennessee scored a TD. Guarantee you his teams would be physical upfront and could pound the football. I'd be willing to bet that he would adjust his offensive approach as well. Reminds me a lot of Phil.

Anyone that thinks Leach isn’t a good coach is out of their mind. All he does is go to bad programs, get players no one else wants, and wins ball games. It might take him a couple years but once he got everything in place here we would win a lot of ball games

Leach is 38-37 and 26-28 in conference. His offense recruits about like Georgia Tech does. It is a specialty offense that doesn't translate to the NFL. Defensive players don't go to Tech because they learn nothing practicing against the option all day, same with Leach's offense. He is a funny guy, but that isn't going to get him recruits going against Smart, Dabo, and Saban. No big time players are going to play in a gimmick offense.

Have you watched this roster? We need a severe talent upgrade and that is recruiting. Leach will not succeed here. He is a good coach, but as usual, not a good fit. But I am convinced Currie knows he is getting fired and is going to try and hire the worst coach and laugh at us when he's gone.

Hey, pay no attention to the national championship coach over there that has heavy recruiting ties in the south and is begging to be our coach... no, don't do that you fools.
